Ophis MCP server
by ophis-fi · official
Lets your AI look up crypto swap quotes, token details, balances and charts across many chains.

Ophis is a crypto trading service that lets you describe a swap in plain English and get it filled. This MCP server is the piece that lets your AI assistant talk to Ophis for you. It is handy if you already trade crypto and want your AI to fetch quotes, check balances, or prepare an order without you clicking around a website.
What is an MCP server? The 30-second version
On its own, your AI can only chat with you. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to an app or service. This one connects your AI to Ophis, a crypto swap service, so the AI can look up tokens, ask for prices, and prepare orders when you ask. The server itself holds no keys and never signs anything, it just fetches information and builds things for you to approve.
What this MCP server does
You type a request like swap 100 USDC for ETH on Base. Your AI sends that to the Ophis MCP server. The server turns your words into a structured order, finds the right tokens and chain, and asks Ophis for a price quote. It can also build a ready-to-sign order and hand it back to you. You then review and sign it in your own wallet, and the trade settles through Ophis.
Click to zoomWhat you can do with it
- Parse a plain English trade description into tokens, amounts and chain
- Get a price quote for a swap before you commit
- Build a ready-to-sign order with the receiver pinned to your wallet
- Check your token balances and portfolio on supported chains
- Look up token details and which chains are supported
- See gas prices and price charts for a token
- Compare the expected surplus against a reference quote
Try asking your AI
- “Swap 100 USDC for ETH on Base”
- “What is the current quote for 1 ETH to USDC on Optimism”
- “Show my token balances on Arbitrum”
- “Build an order to sell 500 USDC for WETH on Unichain”
What it gives back to you
You get back clear answers in the chat: a parsed intent, a quote with amounts and fees, a list of chains or tokens, or your balances. When it builds an order, you get a structured object you can review before signing. The server never signs or submits anything on its own, so nothing moves until you approve it in your wallet.
Before you start
What you need
- A crypto wallet that supports EIP-712 signing
- An MCP client such as Claude Desktop or Cursor
- Funds on a supported chain if you plan to actually swap
Good to know
It can prepare and submit real crypto trades, so always review the order details and receiver address before you sign, and never let an AI sign without your approval.
Install it with your AI
Add Ophis MCP server to your AI, no technical skills needed
You don't install anything by hand. You copy one prompt, paste it into an AI that can work on your computer, and it checks, installs and connects the server for you, asking you when it needs something.
Sign in to get the install prompt
Members get a ready-made prompt that lets the Claude desktop app check Ophis MCP server, install it and connect it for them, step by step. You don't need any technical skills: you copy, paste and answer a few questions. Your connected AI can also find and install any of the 4,066 MCP servers here for you.
Who it's for
Crypto traders and anyone who already uses Ophis or CoW Protocol and wants their AI assistant to handle quotes, balances and order prep.
