ROIC.ai Financial Data MCP server
by roicai · official
Let your AI pull real company numbers: income statements, ratios, stock prices, and earnings calls.
This is a helper for your AI assistant that connects it to ROIC.ai, a service with financial data on over 60,000 public companies. You can ask plain questions about a company's money and get real numbers back instead of guesses. It is handy for anyone who looks at companies, from investors to analysts to students.
What is an MCP server? The 30-second version
On its own, your AI can only chat with you. It cannot look up live company data. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or connection to a service. This one connects your AI to ROIC.ai, so when you ask about a company, the AI can fetch the actual numbers and answer you in the same chat.
What this MCP server does
You ask your AI a question about a company, for example about its income, its debt, or its stock price. The AI uses this helper, which talks to the ROIC.ai data service. ROIC.ai sends back the numbers, such as a financial statement or a set of ratios. Your AI then reads that and puts it into a clear answer for you, right in the chat.
What you can do with it
- Look up income statements, balance sheets, and cash flows for a company
- Check profitability, debt, and valuation ratios like ROE, P/E, and EV/EBITDA
- Compare two companies over the last few years
- Read the latest earnings call transcript and summarize what management said
- Get historical stock prices for a date range
- Find a company by ticker, name, or other code, and see its profile and news
- Browse exchanges, sectors, and industries with company counts
Try asking your AI
- “Compare Microsoft and Google profitability over the last 3 years, margins and ROE.”
- “Is Tesla overvalued? Show its P/E, EV/EBITDA, and P/S vs the last 5 years.”
- “What did Apple management say about AI in the latest earnings call?”
- “Show Amazon's daily stock prices for January 2025.”
What it gives back to you
You get answers in the chat: numbers, tables, lists, and short summaries. For example, a table of yearly revenue and net income, or a list of ratios for one company. If you ask about an earnings call, you get the transcript text and a summary of the main points. Stock prices come back as a dated list of daily open, high, low, close, and volume.
