S2 StreamStore MCP server
by s2-streamstore · official
Lets your AI manage S2 basins and streams and read or write records for you.

This is a helper that connects your AI assistant to S2 StreamStore, a cloud service for storing and moving streams of data. It is made by the S2 team itself. It is handy if you already use S2 and want to check or change things there without clicking around a dashboard.
What is an MCP server? The 30-second version
On its own, your AI can only chat. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to an app or service. This one connects your AI to S2 StreamStore, so it can look up your basins and streams or add and read data there when you ask. You stay in the chat, and the helper does the talking to S2 behind the scenes.
What this MCP server does
You ask your AI something about your S2 account, like which basins you have or what is inside a stream. The AI uses this helper, and the helper talks to S2 on your behalf. S2 sends back the answer, and the AI shows it to you in plain words. If you ask for a change, like creating a stream or adding a record, the helper makes that change in S2. It works in steps: first your account, then a basin, then a stream, so you are not flooded with options.
Click to zoomWhat you can do with it
- List your basins and pick one to work in
- Create a new basin or change its settings
- List the streams inside a basin and pick one
- Create a new stream or change its settings
- Add records to a stream
- Read records from a stream and check the latest ones
- Look at usage numbers for your account, basins, and streams
Try asking your AI
- “Which basins do I have in S2?”
- “Create a new stream called events in my main basin”
- “Show me the last few records in the events stream”
- “Add a test record to the events stream”
What it gives back to you
You get answers in the chat, like a list of your basins or streams, or the records you asked for. For changes, it tells you what it did, such as that a stream was created or a record was added. You can also ask for numbers, like how much data is moving through a stream. Everything shows up as normal text in the conversation.
Before you start
