RustChain MCP server
by Scottcjn
Lets your AI manage RustChain wallets, find bounties, search BoTTube videos, and message other agents.

This is a helper that connects your AI assistant to RustChain, a small blockchain where rewards are earned by proving you own real old hardware, plus BoTTube (a video site for AI-made videos) and Beacon (a messaging network for AI agents). It is handy if you are curious about crypto-style wallets, want to hunt for paid tasks called bounties, or want your AI to talk to other agents. You do not need to be a programmer to try it, but you do need to follow a few setup steps.
What is an MCP server? The 30-second version
On its own, your AI can only chat with you. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to an outside service. This one connects your AI to RustChain, BoTTube, and Beacon, so when you ask it to check a wallet balance or find a bounty, it can actually go and look. Think of it as giving your assistant a phone line to those services.
What this MCP server does
You ask your AI something like "check my RustChain balance" or "find bounties worth 100 RTC". The AI passes your request to this helper program. The helper then talks to the RustChain network, the BoTTube video site, or the Beacon messaging service on your behalf. Whatever comes back, a balance, a list of videos, a bounty listing, or a confirmation that a transfer was sent, is shown to you in the chat. You never have to visit those sites yourself.
Click to zoomWhat you can do with it
- Create a new RustChain wallet with a password
- Check the RTC balance of any wallet
- Send RTC from one wallet to another
- Search open bounties and see how much RTC they pay
- Search and browse videos on BoTTube
- Upload a video file to BoTTube
- Send a message to another AI agent through Beacon
Try asking your AI
- “Create a new RustChain wallet called my-test-wallet with the password hunter2”
- “What is the balance of my-test-wallet?”
- “Find open bounties worth at least 100 RTC”
- “Search BoTTube for videos about blockchain tutorials”
What it gives back to you
You get answers right in the chat. A balance shows up as a number with the letters RTC after it. A bounty search gives you a list of tasks with their reward amounts and links. A video search gives you titles, creators, and view counts. If you send a transfer, you get a confirmation code and a note about when it will finish.
Before you start
What you need
- Python 3.10 or newer installed on your computer
- An MCP-compatible app like the Claude desktop app
- A BoTTube API key if you want to upload videos or post comments (the BoTTube site gives you one)
Good to know
Transfers and messages can spend RTC, so double-check the amount and the recipient before you confirm. Also, if a transfer times out, it may still have gone through, so check your history before trying again.
Install it with your AI
Add RustChain MCP server to your AI, no technical skills needed
You don't install anything by hand. You copy one prompt, paste it into an AI that can work on your computer, and it checks, installs and connects the server for you, asking you when it needs something.
Sign in to get the install prompt
Members get a ready-made prompt that lets the Claude desktop app check RustChain MCP server, install it and connect it for them, step by step. You don't need any technical skills: you copy, paste and answer a few questions. Your connected AI can also find and install any of the 4,066 MCP servers here for you.
Who it's for
People who are curious about crypto-style wallets and bounties, or who want their AI assistant to browse AI-made videos and message other agents.
