SCVD General Store MCP server

by seancrecord

Check x402 payment endpoints and signed receipts, and buy signed observations, all from your AI chat.

Flow diagram: you ask your AI “Is this payment link ready to take money?”, the SCVD General Store MCP server connects it to SCVD General Store, and you get back A signed answer in your chat.

This is a remote helper that lets your AI talk to scvd.store, a small online store and checking service for AI agent payments. It is handy if you work with AI agents that pay for things online and you want to check a payment door before money moves, or read a signed receipt afterward. You do not install anything and you do not need an API key.

What is an MCP server? The 30-second version

On its own, your AI can only chat with you. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to an outside service. This one connects your AI to scvd.store, so it can look up payment endpoints, check signed receipts, or buy signed observations for you. You just ask in plain words and the AI does the back and forth.

What this MCP server does

You ask your AI something like whether a payment door is ready or whether a receipt is real. The AI sends that request to this helper, which talks to scvd.store over the internet. The store checks the endpoint or the signature and sends back a verdict. Your AI then shows you the answer in the chat, with the details and any gaps the store did not see.

What you can do with it

  • Check whether an x402 payment endpoint is ready before you pay
  • Verify a signed offer or receipt from any issuer
  • Read the store's dated, signed observations of the x402 ecosystem
  • Buy a signed attestation of an on-chain payment
  • Set up a watch on an endpoint for seven days of hourly probes
  • Record what an agent was authorized to do before it acts
  • Buy a pack of collectible cards from the store

Try asking your AI

  • “Check if this x402 endpoint is ready to accept payments”
  • “Verify this signed receipt and tell me if the signature is valid”
  • “Read the latest corpus observations about x402 endpoints”
  • “Buy a settlement attestation for this transaction on Base”

What it gives back to you

You get back a structured verdict or receipt, signed and dated, shown as text in your chat. For a preflight check, that means what was observed, what was not, and any gaps. For a conformance check, it means whether the signature and schema passed. For a purchase, you get a signed artifact you can verify later at a public link.

Before you start

What you need

  • An AI app that can connect to remote MCP servers, like Claude Desktop or Claude Code
  • A wallet that can pay in USDC over x402 on Base if you want to buy something

Good to know

The buy tools can spend real USDC from your wallet, and the store is an observer, not an escrow or a guarantee, so a passing check does not promise that a payment will settle or deliver.
