x402station MCP server
by sF1nX
Lets your AI check whether an x402 payment endpoint is safe before it pays.

This is a helper for AI agents that pay for things online using a system called x402. Before your AI sends money to an endpoint, this server checks whether that endpoint looks safe or shady. It is handy if you are building or running an AI that pays for data or services on its own.
What is an MCP server? The 30-second version
On its own, your AI can only chat. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to an app or service. This one connects your AI to x402station.io, a service that watches x402 payment endpoints and reports on them. Once connected, your AI can ask x402station whether a specific endpoint is safe to pay before it signs a payment.
What this MCP server does
You or your AI ask about a specific web address that wants to be paid. The AI uses this helper, and the helper talks to x402station.io. x402station looks at its probe history and settlement data for that address, then sends back a verdict. You get a simple answer: is it ok to pay, and if not, what looks wrong.
Click to zoomWhat you can do with it
- Check if an x402 endpoint is safe to pay before signing a payment
- See warnings like decoy, zombie, dead, or price trap for a URL
- Get a 7-day report on uptime, latency, and status codes for an endpoint
- Pull the full list of currently flagged bad endpoints
- Find alternatives when an endpoint looks unsafe
- Check your credits balance on x402station
- See what is new on the service
Try asking your AI
- “Is it safe to pay https://some-endpoint.com/data?”
- “Run a preflight check on this x402 URL before I pay it”
- “Give me the full 7-day forensics report for this endpoint”
- “Pull the current list of flagged decoy endpoints”
What it gives back to you
You get a short answer in the chat: ok true or false, a list of warnings, and some basic facts like the price, uptime, and average speed. The forensics tool returns a deeper report with hourly uptime and latency numbers. The catalog tool returns a list of flagged endpoints with counts by reason.
Before you start
What you need
- Node.js installed on your computer
- A wallet private key that holds USDC on Base mainnet (this is a crypto wallet key, keep it safe)
- An MCP host like Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf, or Continue
Good to know
It spends real USDC on every paid call, so keep an eye on your wallet balance.
Install it with your AI

Members get a ready-made prompt that lets the Claude desktop app check x402station MCP server, install it and connect it for them, step by step. You don't need any technical skills: you copy, paste and answer a few questions. Your connected AI can also find and install any of the 4,066 MCP servers here for you.
