Check crypto balances and DeFi positions, and prepare transactions you approve on your Ledger.

VaultPilot MCP is a helper that lets your AI look at your crypto wallets and DeFi positions across many blockchains, and get transactions ready for you to approve. It is made for people who hold their own crypto and use a Ledger hardware wallet. If you want your AI to check your balances or set up a swap without ever handing over your keys, this is for you.

What is an MCP server? The 30-second version

On its own, your AI can only chat. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to an app or service. This one connects your AI to your crypto wallets and DeFi accounts, so it can look up balances and positions or prepare a transaction when you ask. The important part: it never holds your keys. Anything that moves money has to be approved by you on your Ledger device.

What this MCP server does

You ask your AI something like what is in my wallet or set up a swap. The AI passes that request to this helper. The helper talks to the blockchains and DeFi services you use, gathers the numbers, and hands them back. If you asked for a transaction, it builds the transaction and sends it to your Ledger for you to review and approve on the device screen. Nothing is signed until you press the button.

What you can do with it

  • See your balances across Ethereum, Arbitrum, Polygon, Base, Optimism, TRON, Solana, Bitcoin and Litecoin
  • Check your lending, staking and liquidity positions and their health
  • Get a daily briefing or a profit and loss summary for your wallets
  • Prepare swaps and bridges between chains for you to approve
  • Prepare staking actions like Lido, EigenLayer, Marinade or Jito
  • Look up a token, a contract, or a past transaction and explain it
  • Set up sends of coins or tokens for your Ledger to sign

Try asking your AI

  • “What is my total portfolio worth across all my chains?”
  • “Show me my Aave and Compound positions and any health warnings”
  • “Prepare a swap of 1 ETH to USDC on Arbitrum”
  • “Give me my daily briefing for all my wallets”

What it gives back to you

You get back plain answers in the chat: balances, USD totals, lists of positions, health factors, and short summaries. If you asked for a transaction, you get a prepared transaction that shows up on your Ledger screen for approval. After you sign, it can report the transaction status. It also can explain a past transaction in normal words.

Before you start

What you need

  • A Ledger hardware wallet
  • Ledger Live installed for EVM chains, or a USB cable for TRON, Solana, Bitcoin and Litecoin
  • An MCP-compatible app such as Claude Code or Cursor
  • Node.js and the VaultPilot MCP package installed from its GitHub page

Good to know

It can prepare transactions that move real money, so always read the details on your Ledger screen before you approve.

Install it with your AI
