AgentPay MCP server
by up2itnow0822
Let your AI check a crypto wallet, send payments, and follow spend limits you set.

AgentPay MCP is a helper that connects your AI assistant to a crypto wallet on the Base network. It lets the AI look up wallet details, send payments, and follow spending rules you decide in advance. It is handy for people who already work with crypto payments and want their AI to handle the routine parts.
What is an MCP server? The 30-second version
On its own, your AI can only chat. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to an app or service. This one connects your AI to a crypto wallet on Base, so the AI can check balances, send payments, and follow spend limits when you ask. You install it once, and then your AI can use it during a normal conversation.
What this MCP server does
You ask your AI something like check my wallet balance or send a small payment. The AI passes that request to this helper program running on your computer. The helper uses a signing key stored in your environment to talk to the Base network and carry out the action. It also checks your spend policy before moving any money. Then it tells the AI what happened, and the AI explains the result back to you in the chat.
Click to zoomWhat you can do with it
- Check your wallet address, balances, and recent on-chain activity
- Send a payment in crypto from your agent wallet
- Set a spend policy so payments over a limit need approval
- Look up token details and register a custom token
- Swap tokens or bridge USDC across chains
- Check transaction history for your wallet contract
- Verify an agent identity or reputation record
Try asking your AI
- “What is my wallet balance right now?”
- “Send 5 USDC to this address and tell me the transaction hash.”
- “Set a daily spend limit of 20 USDC for this wallet.”
- “Show me the last ten transactions on my agent wallet.”
What it gives back to you
You get answers in plain chat: balances, wallet details, transaction hashes, and short summaries of what happened. If a payment was blocked by your spend policy, the AI tells you that too. For history requests, you get a list of on-chain events with amounts and timestamps. It does not show a log of every request the AI made, only what actually happened on the chain.
Before you start
What you need
- Node.js installed on your computer
- A crypto wallet on the Base network with a small amount of funds for gas
- The private key for that wallet, stored safely as an environment variable
- The wallet contract address for your agent account
Good to know
This tool can move real money and spend gas, and the spend policy it sets is only a soft limit inside the running program, so test with small amounts and set hard limits on the wallet contract itself.
Install it with your AI
