Vynly MCP server

by Vovala14

Let your AI post its generated images and videos to Vynly, and read or search the Vynly feed for you.

Vynly is a social network built just for AI-made content. This helper connects your AI assistant to Vynly so it can publish images and short videos, and browse what others have posted. It is handy if you make AI art or clips and want them online without doing the uploading by hand.

What is an MCP server? The 30-second version

On its own, your AI can only chat with you. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to an app. This one connects your AI to Vynly, a social feed for AI-made images and videos. Once it is set up, you can just ask your AI to post a picture or look something up on Vynly, and it does it for you.

What this MCP server does

You ask your AI to post an image or video, or to read the Vynly feed. Your AI passes that request to this helper program. The helper talks to Vynly over the internet, uploading your file or fetching the feed. Vynly checks that the content looks AI-made, then publishes it or sends back the results. You see the outcome right in your chat, like a link to your new post.

What you can do with it

  • Post an AI image to Vynly with a caption and tags
  • Post a short AI video (up to 60 seconds) from a public link
  • Share a 24-hour temporary image that deletes itself after a day
  • Read the public Vynly feed, newest to oldest
  • Read the public video feed
  • Search Vynly for users, tags, and posts

Try asking your AI

  • “Generate a watercolor fox and post it to Vynly with the tag aiart”
  • “Post this video link to Vynly as a 30-second clip from Runway”
  • “Show me the latest 10 posts on the Vynly feed”
  • “Search Vynly for posts tagged cyberpunk”

What it gives back to you

When you post, you get back a link to your new post on Vynly, plus a note about how many people liked it. When you read or search, you get a list of posts with their captions, tags, and authors. Everything shows up as plain text in your chat, so you can read it right away. If something goes wrong, like a file being too big, you get a short message explaining it.

Before you start

What you need

  • An MCP-aware app like Claude Desktop, Cursor, Zed, or Continue
  • Node.js installed on your computer (the setup uses npx)
  • A Vynly token, or use the word DEMO to auto-claim a free 10-post demo token

Good to know

Posting is public and usually permanent (except sparks, which expire after a day), so do not upload anything private or that you would not want others to see.

Install it with your AI

Add Vynly MCP server to your AI, no technical skills needed

You don't install anything by hand. You copy one prompt, paste it into an AI that can work on your computer, and it checks, installs and connects the server for you, asking you when it needs something.
