Anthropic Releases Ten AI Agents for Financial Services Work

Anthropic has introduced ten ready-to-use AI agent templates designed for banking, asset management, insurance, and fintech professionals. The agents handle specific high-demand tasks: creating pitchbooks, reviewing compliance documents, closing month-end accounting, and analyzing market data. Each is available as a plugin in Claude Cowork and Claude Code, plus as a cookbook for Claude Managed Agents.

The templates follow a reference architecture with three components: skills (task-specific instructions and knowledge), connectors (governed access to data), and subagents (additional Claude models handling subtasks like validation). This structure lets firms adapt agents to their own models, risk policies, and approval workflows without starting from scratch.

The Ten Agents

  • Pitch Builder: Creates target lists, runs comparable analysis, and drafts pitchbooks for client meetings.
  • Meeting Preparer: Prepares client and counterparty reports before calls and meetings.
  • Earnings Reviewer: Analyzes transcripts and regulatory filings, updates models, and flags changes to investment theses.
  • Model Builder: Creates and maintains financial models from filings, data sources, and analyst input.
  • Market Researcher: Monitors sector and issuer developments, synthesizes news and research, and flags items for credit and risk review.
  • Valuation Reviewer: Reviews valuations against comparables, methodology, and internal standards.
  • General Ledger Reconciler: Reconciles accounts and performs net asset value calculations against accounting records.
  • Month-End Closer: Executes closing checklists, prepares accounting entries, and generates closing reports.
  • Statement Auditor: Reviews financial statements for consistency, completeness, and audit readiness.
  • KYC Screener: Gathers entity files, reviews documentation, and prepares escalations for compliance review.

Data Access and Connectors

Anthropic says agents are only as effective as the data they can access. Claude already connects to FactSet, S&P Capital IQ, MSCI, PitchBook, Morningstar, LSEG, and other platforms. The company is adding eight new connectors providing real-time market data and research.

New connectors include Dun & Bradstreet (business identity verification), Fiscal AI (equity fundamentals), Financial Modeling Prep (quotes and statements), Guidepoint (expert transcripts), IBISWorld (industry data), SS&C IntraLinks (deal room access), Third Bridge (expert interviews), and Verisk (insurance data).

Moody's launched an MCP application giving Claude access to credit ratings and data on over 600 million public and private companies for compliance, credit analysis, and business development.

Microsoft 365 Integration

Claude now integrates with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook (coming soon) through add-ins for Microsoft 365. Context transfers automatically between applications, so work started in the model can move directly into a presentation without restating information.

For management professionals overseeing AI implementation in financial services, these agents reduce the timeline from months to days. Teams can start using them immediately rather than building custom solutions.
