Bhatti Advocates for AI Integration in Governance Training
Hyderabad’s Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka emphasized the need for the Marri Chenna Reddy Human Resource Development Institute (MCRHRDI) to train principal secretaries and village-level officials on integrating artificial intelligence (AI) into governance. His goal is to position Telangana as the first state in India to fully adopt AI-driven governance.
During the governing body sub-committee meeting of MCRHRDI, Bhatti stressed that proper training is critical to achieving this integration. He also called for college principals to receive guidance on securing NAAC accreditation, which would improve their chances of obtaining Central funds. Additionally, two-day training sessions at district and mandal levels should be organized for self-help group (SHG) leaders to boost their financial progress and economic empowerment.
Strengthening MCRHRDI’s Role and Capabilities
Bhatti expressed confidence in the institute’s potential to become the top training center in the country. Spanning 30 acres and led by a seasoned former chief secretary, MCRHRDI has significant resources that officials and staff must fully utilize. The deputy chief minister urged the institution to focus on financial self-sufficiency and growth to meet higher standards.
He also highlighted that the institute had been overlooked for the past decade but announced that the sub-committee will now convene every six months to track progress. Equipping staff to stay updated with the latest global technologies and developments remains a priority.
Collaborative Efforts in Governance Innovation
The meeting included notable attendees such as Roads and Buildings Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, IT Minister D Sridhar Babu, MCRHRDI Director General, and Vice-Chairperson A Santi Kumari. Their presence underlined the government’s commitment to advancing AI integration in administrative functions.
For executives and strategists involved in governance and management, this initiative signals a strategic push toward leveraging AI for improved decision-making and operational efficiency. Training programs like those proposed by MCRHRDI will be essential in preparing officials to manage AI tools effectively.
