Broadridge invests in AI due diligence startup to streamline asset manager workflows

Broadridge Financial Solutions announced a minority investment in CENTRL, an AI-driven due diligence platform, to integrate automation capabilities across its asset management and retirement advisory solutions. The partnership combines Broadridge's data infrastructure with CENTRL's AI technology to reduce manual work in counterparty oversight and RFP response processes.

Asset managers and retirement firms currently spend significant resources on fragmented due diligence requests, often duplicating work across multiple counterparties. Broadridge and CENTRL aim to consolidate these workflows through AI Agents & Automation that eliminate redundant data gathering and strengthen regulatory audit trails.

What changes for clients

Broadridge will integrate CENTRL's automation into Fi360 RFP Director and embed its distribution Data Analysis capabilities into CENTRL's platform. Asset managers gain access to tools that automate due diligence responses, fund oversight, and RFP workflows without building custom solutions.

The integration connects three layers: Broadridge's market data, CENTRL's AI workflows, and automated response generation. This reduces manual touchpoints and improves consistency across due diligence documentation.

Market context

CENTRL counts eight of the top 30 global banks among its clients. Broadridge processes over 7 billion communications annually and handles trading data representing $15 trillion in daily average volume, giving the partnership scale across major financial institutions.

Regulatory pressure on financial firms continues to increase scrutiny of counterparty oversight. Automation addresses a practical bottleneck: due diligence questionnaires and RFP responses consume significant staff time without adding analytical value.

Dan Cwenar, president of Broadridge's Data-Driven Fund Solutions, said the partnership helps "modernize due diligence and RFP response workflows, improve operational efficiency and better manage risk."
