HotelPlanner Launches TicketPlanner to Bundle Tickets With Travel Bookings

HotelPlanner, a travel technology company, unveiled TicketPlanner on May 8, 2026, a new platform designed to sell tickets for concerts, sports events, and theater alongside hotel and travel services. The move puts the company in direct competition with established ticketing providers and online travel platforms.

The platform combines ticket sales with hotel bookings, flights, and ground transportation in a single interface. Travelers can book a hotel in Las Vegas and add tickets to a playoff game in the same transaction, for example.

HotelPlanner appointed Paul Bausch, a veteran ticketing executive with more than two decades in the industry, as president of TicketPlanner. Bausch previously held leadership roles in Broadway entertainment and consumer event services.

Simplified Checkout and Inventory Aggregation

TicketPlanner uses a "Three Clicks to Tickets" booking model designed to reduce friction during purchase. The platform aggregates inventory from multiple ticketing partners to expand availability and maintain competitive pricing.

The company addresses common consumer complaints about hidden fees, complicated checkout systems, and limited customer support. The platform also plans to offer refundable ticket options and enhanced flexibility measures to reduce buyer hesitation on expensive purchases.

AI Powers Event Recommendations

The platform uses artificial intelligence to personalize event recommendations based on customer behavior, search history, travel patterns, and location. A traveler visiting New York could receive Broadway recommendations paired with nearby hotels; a sports fan heading to Las Vegas might see event bundles linked to flights and accommodations.

HotelPlanner plans to expand TicketPlanner into theme parks, attractions, and premium experiences before the end of 2026. The company operates TicketPlanner as both a standalone brand and an integrated component of its broader booking ecosystem.

Entertainment Tourism Drives Travel Spending

Demand for event-driven travel is growing. Travelers increasingly plan trips around sporting championships, music tours, theater productions, and festivals, making entertainment one of the travel sector's strongest revenue drivers in major U.S. cities including New York, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and Chicago.

Platforms that combine personalized technology, travel integration, and customer support may gain competitive advantage as the market expands. The shift could change how live events are discovered and booked in coming years.
