Vertafore introduces AI agents and platform at Accelerate 2026 conference

Vertafore announced six AI agents and a new Velocity AI Platform at its annual user conference this week, aiming to reduce manual work across insurance agency workflows. The Denver-based software company also launched ReferenceConnect AI to provide industry insights and AgencyOne Certificates for streamlined certificate management.

More than 2,000 insurance professionals attended Accelerate 2026, which ran April 20 in Denver. The event brought together agencies, managing general agents, and carriers to discuss how AI for Insurance can reduce friction in sales, servicing, and back-office operations.

CEO Amy Zupon and Chief Product Officer James Thom outlined what the company calls "Distribution Velocity"-the ability to move faster across the insurance value chain by combining digital systems, data, and insurance-specific AI agents and automation.

Hands-on sessions focus on practical application

The conference included working sessions where attendees applied AI to real-world scenarios in submissions, quoting, servicing, and client engagement. Vertafore product experts paired with volunteers from the Network of Vertafore Users (NetVU) to guide participants through concrete next steps.

"You could feel the momentum around AI in every session and every conversation this week," said Shyla Lankford, chair of the NetVU Board of Directors and principal at Symphony Risk Solutions.

NetVU recognizes industry leaders

The user group honored three leaders with annual awards. Carl Schlotman III of CAI Insurance Agency received the Leadership Award. Joyce Sigler of SeibertKeck Insurance Partners earned the Insurance Technology Advocate Award for advancing automation in her firm. Sarah Dinwiddie of Charles M. Moore Insurance Agency received the Volunteer Service Award.

Community service ties to conference

Nearly 200 attendees volunteered for Day of Caring, packing groceries for The Just One Project's distribution program. The effort will provide up to 23,000 meals to 1,400 families in Southern Nevada. Attendees raised $30,000 for hunger relief and local programs.

Accelerate 2027 is scheduled for May 17-20 in San Antonio, Texas. Registration is open.
