AI agent for corporate trainers

Cross-Cultural Program Adaptation Agent

A course adapted to a region, with unfit examples, rules and norms replaced and checked.

Cross-Cultural Program Adaptation Agent: what goes in, what the agent does and what you get

What it does

A course written in one country uses baseball analogies, a US law and a cheerful tone that confuses staff in another region. This agent reads the course and a region profile and flags examples, idioms, laws and norms that do not fit. It proposes local alternatives, such as a local holiday or the correct local rule, and then rechecks the adapted version for new issues. It lists items it is unsure about for a local reviewer. Edge case: a role-play about direct feedback may suit one culture and offend in another, so the agent offers two approaches. A regional reviewer approves.

How it works

Follow the arrows from top to bottom. The orange dashed arrow is the loop: when a check fails, the agent goes back and tries again.

How it decides

It replaces content that conflicts with local law or custom and marks anything it cannot judge for the regional reviewer.

  • Replace legal references with local law only after review.
  • Swap idioms and sports metaphors for neutral language.
  • Flag any content about sensitive topics.
  • Keep learning objectives unchanged.

Make it yours

Every agent is a starting point. You choose these settings for your own situation.

  • Region profile
  • Review owners
  • Flag types
  • Legal handling
  • Output language

What keeps you in control

It always asks you first

  • Final adapted course
  • Any legal statement

Hard limits

  • Do not state local law as fact without review.
  • Do not change learning objectives.

It stops when

  • Done: all flags resolved and the reviewer approved
  • Stop: the region profile is thin, so the agent asks for local input

An example run

What happensA US safety course is adapted for Germany. The agent flags OSHA references, a baseball analogy and a first-name-only role-play. Alternatives replace two of them, but the OSHA text is left for the reviewer. The reread finds a date format issue, so it fixes that. The regional reviewer, Klara, corrects the legal reference and approves.
