AI agent for farmers

Farm Machinery Service Agent

Every key machine serviced before the season it is needed

Farm Machinery Service Agent: what goes in, what the agent does and what you get

What it does

Machinery needs service by engine hours and before each season, and a breakdown at harvest costs far more than a service. Each week this agent reads engine hours from telematics or logbooks, maker service schedules and past repairs. Service is due by hours or season start, whichever comes first, and combines are serviced six weeks before harvest. It drafts service tasks and parts lists and checks dealer stock. If parts will not arrive before the service date, it drafts an earlier order or an alternative supplier. The farmer approves orders and dealer bookings. After service, it checks that hours and tasks were logged, and reopens anything missing. It flags machines with repeated repairs. Edge case: a machine used by a contractor is tracked separately so its hours do not distort the farm's own records.

How it works

Follow the arrows from top to bottom. The orange dashed arrow is the loop: when a check fails, the agent goes back and tries again.

An example run

What happensOn July 1 the combine's service fell due, six weeks before harvest. A drive belt had a 3-week wait at the usual dealer, so the parts check failed. The agent searched and drafted an order from another dealer with stock for $214, delivered in 2 days. The farmer approved. After the July 8 service, the log check found the hours missing, which the farmer then entered.
