AI agent for training and development managers
Manager Reinforcement Nudge Agent
Managers complete short follow-up actions for four weeks after a workshop.
What it does
Skills fade within weeks when managers never follow up on what was taught. This agent builds a four-week plan for each manager after a workshop, with one short action tied to what their team learned, such as asking each person to use the new feedback script once. Each week it checks whether the manager logged the action, using a form, reply or quick poll. If an action was skipped, the agent shortens the next nudge or changes it to something easier. If a manager responds that the team struggled, it adds a coaching tip. Edge case: a manager on leave in week two gets the plan shifted by one week. The trainer approves every nudge before it is sent.
How it works
Follow the arrows from top to bottom. The orange dashed arrow is the loop: when a check fails, the agent goes back and tries again.
Read the steps as a list
- Workshop finishes
- Read objectives, attendees and their managers
- Draft a four-week plan of short actions for each manager
- Trainer approves the plan and nudgesThe agent waits here for your OK.
- Send the week's nudge and collect the response
- Did the manager log the action this week?If not: send a shorter, easier nudge and note the miss. Back to step 4.
- Adjust the next week's action to the manager's feedback
- Did two weeks pass without any response? If not: flag the manager and ask the trainer how to follow up. Back to step 5.
- Compile results after week four
- Reinforcement summary for the trainer
How it decides
If a manager logs the action, it moves to the next step. If not, it sends a shorter nudge and flags the manager after two misses.
- One action per week, taking under 10 minutes.
- Two missed weeks trigger a flag to the trainer.
- Never ask managers to evaluate their staff in the nudge.
- Tie each action to a workshop learning objective.
Make it yours
Every agent is a starting point. You choose these settings for your own situation.
- Number of weeks (default 4)
- Nudge channel
- Time per action
- Miss limit before a flag
- Tone of nudges
What keeps you in control
It always asks you first
- Every nudge before it is sent
- Any message to a manager's own manager
Hard limits
- Do not send nudges without trainer approval.
- Do not share one manager's replies with others.
It stops when
- Done: four weeks completed or the trainer closed the plan
- Stop: the manager asks to be removed from the nudges
