AI agent for musicians

Playlist Pitch Follow-up Agent

A tracked pitch campaign with follow-ups, a clean contact list and learnings

Playlist Pitch Follow-up Agent: what goes in, what the agent does and what you get

What it does

Pitches are sent once and never tracked, so replies and placements are missed. This agent builds a target list matched to the song's genre and mood, and drafts a short pitch for each. It tracks each send and reply, notes placements from stream data and plans a follow-up after a fixed time. It checks the contact list so that anyone who has asked to stop is dropped. If the response is weak, it compares which pitches got replies and adjusts the next batch. The artist approves each batch of pitches. Edge case: a curator who says 'send me the next one' is flagged and set to hear the next release first.

How it works

Follow the arrows from top to bottom. The orange dashed arrow is the loop: when a check fails, the agent goes back and tries again.

How it decides

A target is added when genre, mood and size fit. A follow-up is sent once, after 10 days, to targets with no reply. Targets who asked to stop are removed.

  • Send one follow-up only
  • Remove anyone who asked to stop
  • Match on genre and mood first
  • Expect a reply rate of at least 5%

Make it yours

An example run

What happensA synth-pop single was pitched to 40 curators. After 10 days there was 1 reply, a 2.5% rate against the 5% target, so the check failed. The agent compared the pitches and saw that the only reply came from a small independent curator who got the shorter pitch. It rewrote the next batch of 30 in that style and added a streaming link. The artist approved the batch and the follow-up.
