Sponsor Pitch and Rate Card Agent

A set of well-matched sponsor pitches with fair rates and tracked replies

Sponsor Pitch and Rate Card Agent: what goes in, what the agent does and what you get

What it does

Pitches go to poorly matched brands, and prices are guessed. This agent matches the audience data to target brands, using listener age, location, interests and past sponsors. It calculates rates from average downloads per episode and the typical rates for each ad type. It drafts a pitch with a media kit and tracks replies and follow-ups. It compares which pitches got replies and learns from objections, such as 'price too high' or 'wrong audience'. It adjusts the next pitch and rate. The creator approves each send. Edge case: a brand that sponsors a direct competitor is flagged before the pitch.

How it works

Follow the arrows from top to bottom. The orange dashed arrow is the loop: when a check fails, the agent goes back and tries again.

How it decides

A brand is a target when its customers match the audience data. Rates come from downloads times the CPM for each ad position.

  • Calculate rates as downloads per 1,000 times the CPM
  • Remove brands that compete with current sponsors
  • Follow up once after 10 days
  • Adjust the rate after three price objections

An example run

What happensA show with 8,400 downloads per episode priced a 60-second mid-roll at $25 per thousand, which is $210. The agent pitched 25 brands and 1 competitor of a current sponsor was removed. After 10 days there were 2 replies and 2 said the price was too high. The reply check failed, so the agent suggested a launch package at $180. The creator approved.
