About QuietHint®

QuietHint® is a Mac-based meeting assistant that transcribes calls locally on the device and displays short reply suggestions in an overlay while a question is still being asked. No bot joins the meeting, and audio never leaves the machine-speech is processed using Whisper on the Mac, with the user's own words kept separate from others'. It works with any call app and uses the user's own Anthropic API key to generate hints.

QuietHint® takes a different approach from most AI notetakers by keeping everything on the Mac. There's no server-side transcription, no bot in the call, and the tool doesn't store conversation audio. What you get is a small overlay that surfaces a suggested reply in real time-before you've finished hearing the question.

Pricing and Value

QuietHint® costs $9/month for the app with unlimited suggestions when using your own Anthropic key. Anthropic API usage is billed separately through your own account. A credit-based model is planned for a future release-users will prepay and hints will run on QuietHint's key, with the first 10 questions free. The app is free to try on Apple silicon Macs.

It's worth a look for Mac users who already have an Anthropic key and want hints during calls without a bot joining. Those who rely on cloud-stored transcripts or automated follow-up task capture will find those capabilities absent in the current release.
