Solana MCP server
by AiAgentKarl
Lets your AI look up Solana wallet balances, token prices, DeFi yields, and token safety checks for you.

This is a small helper that connects your AI assistant to the Solana blockchain. Once it is set up, you can just ask your AI questions about wallets, tokens, prices, and DeFi pools in normal words, and it will go fetch the numbers for you. It is handy if you follow crypto prices or check wallets and tokens, but you do not want to hop between five different websites.
What is an MCP server? The 30-second version
On its own, your AI can only chat with you using what it already knows. An MCP server is a little helper program that gives your AI a new skill, in this case a connection to Solana data. You install this helper on your computer, tell your AI app about it, and from then on your AI can ask the helper for live Solana information. So when you ask about a wallet or a token, your AI quietly asks this helper, and the helper asks the real Solana data services.
What this MCP server does
You type a question in plain words, like asking about a wallet or a token. Your AI reads the question and decides it needs live Solana data, so it calls this helper. The helper then talks to services like Helius, Jupiter, CoinGecko, Raydium, Orca, and RugCheck to get the numbers. It sends the answer back to your AI, and your AI explains it to you in the chat. You never have to open those websites yourself.
Click to zoomWhat you can do with it
- Check the SOL and token balances of any wallet
- Look up the current USD price of a token
- See the best DeFi yields on Solana right now
- Compare yields for one token across different exchanges
- Run a safety check on a token, including its RugCheck score
- See large transactions (whale activity) for a token
- Analyze a whole wallet portfolio with USD values
Try asking your AI
- “What tokens does this wallet hold? 7xKq...abc”
- “What is the current price of SOL?”
- “Show me the best DeFi yields on Solana right now”
- “Is this token safe? Check the RugCheck score for JUP”
What it gives back to you
You get answers written out in the chat, like a list of tokens with their amounts and dollar values, or a single price in USD. For safety checks you get a RugCheck score plus notes on holder concentration and whether the mint or freeze authority is still active. For yields you get a ranked list of pools with their APR percentages. For whale tracking you get a list of large transactions with amounts and short descriptions.
Before you start
What you need
- Python installed on your computer (the README uses pip to install the package)
- A free Helius API key from dev.helius.xyz (a kind of password for apps; the site gives you one for free)
- An MCP client app, like the Claude desktop app, that can run MCP servers
Good to know
This helper only reads public Solana data, so it does not move your money or change anything, but crypto prices and safety scores can be wrong or out of date, so do not treat them as financial advice.
Install it with your AI
Add Solana MCP server to your AI, no technical skills needed
You don't install anything by hand. You copy one prompt, paste it into an AI that can work on your computer, and it checks, installs and connects the server for you, asking you when it needs something.
Sign in to get the install prompt
Members get a ready-made prompt that lets the Claude desktop app check Solana MCP server, install it and connect it for them, step by step. You don't need any technical skills: you copy, paste and answer a few questions. Your connected AI can also find and install any of the 4,066 MCP servers here for you.
Who it's for
People who follow Solana wallets, tokens, and DeFi and want quick answers without opening several crypto websites.
