AIMarket Oracle Gateway MCP server

by alexar76

Gives your AI a set of paid, verifiable "oracle" tools for randomness, delays, reputation scores and more.

Flow diagram: you ask your AI “Give me a fair random number from 1 to 100”, the AIMarket Oracle Gateway MCP server connects it to AIMarket Hub, and you get back A number and a proof.

This is a helper program that plugs into your AI chat and lets it call a catalogue of small online services called oracles. Each call does one specific job, like producing a provably fair random number or checking an agent's reputation score, and each result comes with proof you can check. It is aimed at people who need trustworthy answers rather than just a guess from the AI.

What is an MCP server? The 30-second version

On its own, your AI can only chat with you using what it already knows. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to an outside service. This one connects your AI to the AIMarket Hub, a storefront of oracle services, so when you ask for something like a random draw or a reputation score, the AI can actually go and fetch it for you. Think of it as giving your chat assistant a phone line to a specialist it can call on demand.

What this MCP server does

You ask your AI for something, for example a fair random number or a reputation score for an agent. The AI passes your request to this helper program, which forwards it to the AIMarket Hub over the internet. The Hub runs the requested oracle and sends back a result along with a proof. The helper hands that result back to your AI, which shows it to you in the chat. Each call has a small price, and the helper keeps track of what you spend.

What you can do with it

  • Get a provably fair random number or randomness beacon
  • Verify a random number that was produced earlier
  • Compute or verify a time-delay puzzle (a VDF)
  • Look up reputation scores and trust levels for agents
  • Aggregate several values into one consensus result
  • Audit the energy or compute cost of a set of operations
  • List all the oracle services available and their prices

Try asking your AI

  • “Give me a provably fair random number between 1 and 100.”
  • “What is the reputation score for agent alpha-7?”
  • “Compute a time-delay puzzle that takes about one minute to solve.”
  • “List the oracle services you can call and how much each one costs.”

What it gives back to you

You get back a short answer in the chat, like a number, a score, a list of services, or a small proof string. For verification tools you get a yes or no plus the details that were checked. For listing tools you get a table of names, what they do, and their price. The AI usually shows the result in plain text and may add a short explanation.

Before you start
