This is a helper that checks your code project for EU AI Act and GDPR compliance issues. You point your AI at a folder, and it tells you which rules you are meeting and which ones you are missing. It is handy for anyone shipping AI features in Europe who needs to get paperwork in order before the deadline.

What is an MCP server? The 30-second version

On its own, your AI can only chat with you. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to an app or service. This one connects your AI to the EU AI Act Compliance Scanner, so when you ask about your project, the AI can actually look through your files and run the scanner for you. You do not need to know how it works under the hood.

What this MCP server does

You ask your AI something like check my project for EU AI Act issues. The AI passes your request to this helper, which reads through your project files and looks for signs of AI frameworks like OpenAI, Claude, or LangChain. It then compares what it finds against EU AI Act articles and GDPR rules, and gives you a pass or fail list with fix suggestions. You get the results back in the chat, in plain language, without leaving your conversation.

What you can do with it

  • Scan a project folder and list which AI frameworks it uses
  • Check which EU AI Act articles your project passes or fails
  • Get a week-by-week plan to fix compliance gaps before the deadline
  • Generate starter templates for required compliance documents
  • Suggest a risk category based on a plain description of your AI system
  • Run a GDPR scan for personal data patterns like PII or tracking
  • Build an auditor-ready ZIP package with the required Annex IV sections

Try asking your AI

  • “Scan my project at /Users/me/myapp for EU AI Act compliance issues”
  • “What risk category would my hiring recommendation tool fall under?”
  • “Give me a compliance roadmap for my project with a target date of August 2026”
  • “Check my project for both GDPR and EU AI Act problems and show me the overlap”

What it gives back to you

You get back a clear report in the chat: how many files were scanned, which AI frameworks were found, a compliance score, and a pass or fail list for each rule. It also points out exactly which document or file is missing or weak, and suggests what to add. For deeper runs, it can produce a roadmap, document templates, or a ZIP package you can hand to an auditor.

Before you start

What you need
