LienDeadline MCP server

by LienDeadline · official

Ask your AI for preliminary notice and mechanics lien deadlines, with the state law behind each date.

LienDeadline is a helper that works out construction deadline dates for material suppliers in the US. You tell your AI assistant about a job, and it comes back with the dates and the state law that backs them. It is handy if you supply materials on construction jobs and need to keep track of notice and lien deadlines.

What is an MCP server? The 30-second version

On its own, your AI assistant can only chat with you. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to a service. This one connects your AI to LienDeadline, a deadline engine for construction suppliers. Once it is connected, your AI can ask LienDeadline for deadline dates and state lien guides, then explain the answers to you.

What this MCP server does

You ask your AI assistant a question about a construction job, like when your notice or lien deadline falls. Your AI passes the details you gave it, such as the state, the delivery dates and a few yes or no answers, to LienDeadline. LienDeadline applies that state's rules and works out the deadlines. It sends each date back with the law it came from, or tells you the answer needs review and why. Your AI then shows you the result in the chat.

What you can do with it

  • Work out preliminary notice and lien filing deadlines from your delivery dates
  • See the state law behind each deadline date
  • Read a lien guide for any state, with rules and common questions
  • List all the states that have lien guides
  • Get a clear needs review answer when a date cannot be calculated, with the reason
  • Ask follow-up questions about a job you already described

Try asking your AI

  • “We delivered to a Florida commercial job for a subcontractor from Aug 3 to Sep 10, 2026. No final payment, no termination. When are our notice and lien deadlines?”
  • “Same job, but I don't know whether the owner made final payment. What can you tell me?”
  • “Walk me through Texas mechanics lien rules for a material supplier and cite the statutes.”
  • “Which states do you have lien guides for? Show me Georgia's.”

What it gives back to you

You get deadline dates in the chat, each one with the state law it comes from. You can also get a state lien guide with rules, a deadline table and common questions. If a date cannot be worked out, you get a needs review note with the reason instead of a date. Everything shows up as text you can read and copy.

Before you start

What you need

  • For deadline calculations: a LienDeadline customer key from your plan
  • For state lien guides: nothing, they are public

Good to know

These are educational baseline dates from published state rules, not legal advice, so check critical deadlines with a lawyer before you rely on them. The server never sends notices, files liens or makes payments.
