Flow diagram: you ask your AI “What is the Bitcoin price right now?”, the Cinderwright MCP server reaches Price feeds, Weather services, Stock data and Other data services, and you get back answer in your chat.

Cinderwright is a helper that lets your AI find and use paid online services for you, like a weather feed or a price feed, without you setting up accounts at each one. You put a small amount of money into a Cinderwright account, and your AI spends from it when it needs something. It is handy if you want your AI to pull live data from many sources but do not want to manage payments yourself.

What is an MCP server? The 30-second version

On its own, your AI can only chat with you using what it already knows. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to an outside service. This one connects your AI to Cinderwright, a search-and-pay hub for online data services. When you ask for something, your AI talks to Cinderwright, Cinderwright finds a service that can answer, pays it from your balance, and hands the answer back to your AI.

What this MCP server does

You ask your AI for something, like the current price of Bitcoin or the weather in Tokyo. Your AI sends that request to the Cinderwright helper. Cinderwright searches its list of thousands of services, picks the best match, and pays that service from your prepaid balance. The service sends back the data, and Cinderwright passes it to your AI. Your AI then shows you the answer in the chat, and your balance goes down by a small amount.

What you can do with it

  • Search thousands of online data services by keyword
  • Fetch live data like prices, weather, or other feeds
  • Check your remaining prepaid balance
  • Set up a Cinderwright account and deposit funds
  • Set a maximum cost per request so you never overspend
  • Look up which services are available for a topic
  • See on-chain payment records for a service

Try asking your AI

  • “What is the Bitcoin price right now?”
  • “Get me the weather in Tokyo.”
  • “Find a service that gives stock prices and use it.”
  • “How much credit do I have left in Cinderwright?”

What it gives back to you

You get the answer in plain text in your chat, like a price, a weather report, or a short summary from the service. Your AI may also show you which service it used and how much it cost. If you ask about your balance, you get a number. If you ask it to search, you get a list of matching services.

Before you start

What you need

  • A Cinderwright account with a small USDC balance (USDC is a digital dollar coin; you deposit it to a wallet address Cinderwright gives you)
  • A Cinderwright API key, which looks like sk_cw_... (a kind of password for apps; you get it when you set up your account)
  • Node.js installed on your computer so the npx command can run
  • The Claude desktop app if you want to use it there

Good to know

This helper spends real money from your prepaid balance each time it calls a paid service, so set a maximum cost per request and keep your balance small.
