Cyclops MCP server
by cyclops-ui · official
Let your AI create and update your Kubernetes apps through Cyclops, using your templates.

This is a small helper that connects your AI assistant to Cyclops, a tool that manages applications running on Kubernetes. It is made for teams who already use Cyclops to run their apps and want their AI to help create or change them. If you are not using Cyclops or Kubernetes yet, this one is probably not for you.
What is an MCP server? The 30-second version
On its own, your AI can only chat with you. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to an app or service. This one connects your AI to Cyclops, which sits on top of Kubernetes, so your AI can look at your templates and create or update your applications for you. You just ask in plain words, and the helper does the work behind the scenes.
What this MCP server does
You ask your AI to create or change one of your Cyclops applications. The AI uses this helper to look at your existing templates and check what settings they expect. Then it fills in the right values and asks Cyclops to create or update the application for you. Because it works with your high level templates instead of every low level piece, there is less chance of a mistake slipping in. You get back a clear answer about what was created or changed.
Click to zoomWhat you can do with it
- List all your Cyclops applications
- Look up one application by name
- Check what settings a template expects before using it
- Create a new application from one of your templates
- Update an existing application with new values
- List the template stores available in your cluster
- Fetch details of a specific template store
Try asking your AI
- “Show me all my Cyclops applications”
- “Create a new app called my-website using our web template with 2 replicas”
- “What settings does our database template need?”
- “Update the my-website app to use 3 replicas”
What it gives back to you
You get back plain answers in the chat, like a list of your applications with their names and basic details, or the settings a template expects. When you ask it to create or update something, it tells you what it did. You do not get raw files unless you ask for details.
Before you start
What you need
- Cyclops installed in your Kubernetes cluster
- Access to that cluster (a kubeconfig file, which is like a key to your cluster)
- An AI app that supports MCP servers, like Cursor or Claude Desktop
Good to know
This helper can create and change real applications in your cluster, so check what your AI is about to do before you say yes.
Install it with your AI
Add Cyclops MCP server to your AI, no technical skills needed
You don't install anything by hand. You copy one prompt, paste it into an AI that can work on your computer, and it checks, installs and connects the server for you, asking you when it needs something.
Sign in to get the install prompt
Members get a ready-made prompt that lets the Claude desktop app check Cyclops MCP server, install it and connect it for them, step by step. You don't need any technical skills: you copy, paste and answer a few questions. Your connected AI can also find and install any of the 4,066 MCP servers here for you.
Who it's for
Developers and platform teams who already run Cyclops on Kubernetes and want their AI to help manage applications.
