LLM Advisor MCP server
by Daichi-Kudo
Lets your AI look up current AI model prices, benchmarks, and top picks on the spot.

This is a small helper that gives your AI assistant up-to-date information about AI models. It knows current prices, benchmark scores, and which model is best for a job like coding or writing. It is handy if you often wonder which AI model to use or how much one costs.
What is an MCP server? The 30-second version
On its own, your AI can only chat with what it already learned during training, which can be months out of date. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to something outside the chat. This one connects your AI to live model data from public sources like OpenRouter, SWE-bench, and LM Arena. So when you ask which model is best right now, your AI can look it up instead of guessing.
What this MCP server does
You ask your AI a question about AI models, like which one is best for coding or how much one costs. Your AI sends that question to this helper program. The helper fetches fresh data from several public sources, merges it into one tidy table, and sends it back. Your AI then shows you the answer in the chat, often as a small Markdown table. No API keys or sign-ups are needed, and the data refreshes every hour or so.
Click to zoomWhat you can do with it
- Find the top models for a category like coding, math, vision, or cost
- Compare two to five models side by side with prices and scores
- Get a personalized top three recommendation based on your budget and needs
- Look up a specific model's pricing, benchmarks, and capabilities
- Filter models by minimum context window or release date
- See percentile ranks for coding, general, and vision ability
- Get a ready-to-use code snippet for a model's API
Try asking your AI
- “What's the best coding model right now?”
- “Compare Claude Sonnet 4, GPT-4.1, and Gemini 2.5 Pro”
- “Find me a cheap model with at least a 1M context window”
- “What benchmarks does claude-sonnet-4 have?”
What it gives back to you
You get back short Markdown tables and lists inside the chat. For a single model you see pricing, benchmark scores, percentile ranks, and capabilities. For comparisons you get a side-by-side table with the best values bolded. For recommendations you get a ranked top three with reasons.
Before you start
What you need
- An MCP client like Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Cursor, or Windsurf
- Node.js installed on your computer (the command uses npx)
Good to know
The prices and benchmark scores come from public sources and update hourly, so double-check important numbers before you rely on them.
Install it with your AI
Add LLM Advisor MCP server to your AI, no technical skills needed
You don't install anything by hand. You copy one prompt, paste it into an AI that can work on your computer, and it checks, installs and connects the server for you, asking you when it needs something.
Sign in to get the install prompt
Members get a ready-made prompt that lets the Claude desktop app check LLM Advisor MCP server, install it and connect it for them, step by step. You don't need any technical skills: you copy, paste and answer a few questions. Your connected AI can also find and install any of the 4,066 MCP servers here for you.
Who it's for
Anyone who picks AI models for work, like developers, data scientists, product managers, or writers comparing costs and abilities.
