DebtStack MCP server
by debtstack-ai
Lets your AI look up company debt, bond prices, and who guarantees which bonds.

DebtStack is a service that collects corporate debt information, the kind of detail normally buried in long SEC filings. This MCP server connects your AI assistant to that data so you can just ask questions in plain English. It is handy for anyone who needs to check how much debt a company carries or who stands behind a bond, without opening a single filing.
What is an MCP server? The 30-second version
On its own, your AI can only chat with you using what it already learned. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to an outside service. This one connects your AI to DebtStack, a database of corporate credit information. Once it is set up, your AI can look things up there and bring answers back to you when you ask.
What this MCP server does
You ask your AI a question about a company's debt, like which telecom firms have high leverage. Your AI sends that question to this helper, which talks to the DebtStack service. DebtStack searches its data on companies, bonds, prices, and legal documents, then sends the results back. Your AI reads those results and explains them to you in the chat. You get a clear answer without digging through filings yourself.
Click to zoomWhat you can do with it
- Screen companies by leverage, sector, or interest coverage
- Find bonds by yield, seniority, or maturity date
- Look up a bond using its CUSIP, ISIN, or a short description
- See which entities guarantee a specific bond
- Map a company's parent and subsidiary structure
- Check recent bond prices and yields from FINRA TRACE
- Search credit agreements and indentures for specific wording
- Track what changed in a company's debt over time
Try asking your AI
- “Which telecom companies have leverage above 5x and debt coming due soon?”
- “Who guarantees the Transocean 8% 2027 notes?”
- “Find all senior secured bonds yielding above 8%.”
- “What changed in CVS's debt structure since June 2025?”
What it gives back to you
You get back structured answers: lists of companies or bonds with numbers like leverage ratios and yields, counts of guarantors, or matching snippets from filings. Your AI turns these into a short summary or table right in the chat. For example, it might say that a bond has 45 guarantors spread across several countries. You can then ask follow-up questions without starting over.
