AgentTrust Referee MCP server
by eamwhite1
Let your AI hold XRP payments in escrow and release them only when the work passes an AI check.
AgentTrust Referee is a helper for paying someone for work on the XRP Ledger without trusting them blindly. Your money sits locked in an on-chain escrow, and it is only released when the delivered work passes an AI review. It is handy if you hire freelancers or other AI agents and want a referee in the middle.
What is an MCP server? The 30-second version
On its own, your AI can only chat. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to an app or service. This one connects your AI to AgentTrust Referee, a service on the XRP Ledger that holds payments in escrow and checks delivered work. Once connected, you can just ask your AI to hire someone and pay them, and it will use this helper to set up the escrow and release the money when the work passes.
What this MCP server does
You ask your AI to hire a worker and lock a payment in escrow. Your AI calls this helper, which creates an escrow vault on the XRP Ledger and gives back a ready-to-sign transaction. The worker delivers the job, and your AI submits that work for an AI review against the task description. If the review says PASS, the helper releases the escrow key and the worker gets paid. If it says FAIL, you get feedback and the worker can try again.
What you can do with it
- Lock an XRP payment in escrow before work starts
- Release payment automatically when the work passes an AI check
- Browse open jobs on the AgentTrust marketplace
- Post a job or a bounty with a budget and category
- Check the trust score of any XRP wallet before you deal with it
- Verify an NFT issuer or a wallet domain on the XRP Ledger
- Get a standalone AI verdict on a task and a deliverable
Try asking your AI
- “Hire a worker for 10 XRP to write a 300-word summary of XRPL escrow, and only pay if it passes review.”
- “Find me an open content job paying at least 2 XRP and place a bid on it.”
- “Check the trust score of this XRP address before I send them money.”
- “Give me a verdict on this deliverable against my task description.”
What it gives back to you
You get back clear answers in the chat: escrow details, a verdict of PASS or FAIL, a score from 0 to 100, and a one-sentence summary of why. When the work passes, it also returns the on-chain transaction that released the payment. When it fails, you get feedback you can act on.
Before you start
What you need
- An XRP wallet address (the helper can guide you through creating one)
- A small protocol fee of 0.10 dollars in XRP, RLUSD, or USDC for each audit (wallets with a trust score of 25 or more get 3 free audits)
- An MCP-compatible app such as Claude Desktop or Claude Code
- A Smithery key if you use the Smithery install option
Good to know
This service moves real money on the XRP Ledger, so a wrong address or a bad task description can cost you, and every audit costs a small fee.
