Geond Agent Protocol MCP server

by geondongkim

Give your AI a shared memory of your project so it remembers what changed, why, and what is still in progress.

Geond is a helper that gives your AI a shared memory of your project. It keeps track of what changed in your code, why it changed, and what other AI helpers or teammates are working on. It is handy if you use more than one AI tool on the same project and want them to stop stepping on each other.

What is an MCP server? The 30-second version

On its own, your AI can only chat with you. It forgets everything the moment you close the window. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill. This one connects your AI to Geond, a memory store for your project, so it can look up past changes and leave notes for the next person or AI.

What this MCP server does

You ask your AI something about your project, like why a file changed or what is still being worked on. Your AI sends that question to this helper. The helper looks it up in a shared memory store that lives on your computer (or your team's shared database). It sends back short answers, notes, and references instead of dumping huge transcripts into the chat. You can also ask your AI to reserve a file before editing it, so another AI does not edit it at the same time.

What you can do with it

  • Search past changes and reasons behind them
  • Reserve a file or a piece of code before editing it
  • Leave a handoff note for the next AI or teammate
  • Record what changed in a set of files
  • See which files are currently reserved by others
  • Import past chat sessions from tools like Copilot Chat or Claude Code
  • Open a read-only dashboard to see agent activity

Try asking your AI

  • “Search my project memory for why the login file was changed last week”
  • “Reserve src/auth.py before I start editing it”
  • “Leave a handoff note saying the tests pass but the docs are not updated yet”
  • “Show me which files are currently reserved by other agents”

What it gives back to you

You get short answers in the chat, not giant walls of text. The helper sends back snippets, short summaries, and references you can follow up on. If you asked it to reserve a file or record a change, it confirms what it did. You can also open a dashboard in your browser to see a bigger picture of what all the AI helpers have been doing.

Before you start

What you need

  • Python 3.11 or newer
  • The uv tool (a Python helper installer)
  • Docker with Compose (for the local database)
  • Git and ripgrep installed on your computer

Good to know

It reads and stores notes about your project, and past chat transcripts can contain private information, so review what you import and share before sending it anywhere.

Install it with your AI

Add Geond Agent Protocol MCP server to your AI, no technical skills needed

You don't install anything by hand. You copy one prompt, paste it into an AI that can work on your computer, and it checks, installs and connects the server for you, asking you when it needs something.

Sign in to get the install prompt

Members get a ready-made prompt that lets the Claude desktop app check Geond Agent Protocol MCP server, install it and connect it for them, step by step. You don't need any technical skills: you copy, paste and answer a few questions. Your connected AI can also find and install any of the 4,066 MCP servers here for you.
