Indigo Protocol MCP server
Lets your AI look up Indigo Protocol iAsset prices, loans, staking and governance data on Cardano.

This is a helper that connects your AI assistant to Indigo Protocol, a lending and stablecoin project on the Cardano blockchain. Once it is set up, you can just ask your AI questions about iAsset prices, loans (called CDPs), stability pools, INDY staking and governance, and it will fetch the numbers for you. It is handy if you follow Cardano DeFi and want quick answers without clicking through dashboards.
What is an MCP server? The 30-second version
On its own, your AI can only chat with you using what it already knows. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to an outside service. This one connects your AI to Indigo Protocol, so it can look up live prices, loans and pool data there. You ask in normal words, and the AI uses this helper behind the scenes to get the answer.
What this MCP server does
You ask your AI something like what iUSD is trading at, or how healthy a particular loan is. The AI sends that request to this helper program, which talks to Indigo's data service and, for some actions, to Cardano through a service called Blockfrost. The helper sends the numbers back, and the AI explains them to you in the chat. Some tools can also prepare transactions for opening, changing or closing a loan, but you still have to sign them yourself in your own wallet.
Click to zoomWhat you can do with it
- Check current prices for iAssets like iUSD, iBTC, iETH, iSOL, iEUR and iJPY
- Look up ADA and INDY token prices
- Browse loans (CDPs) and filter them by asset
- Find the loans owned by a specific Cardano address
- Check a loan's collateral ratio and liquidation risk
- See stability pool balances and INDY staking positions
- Read protocol stats like total value locked, rewards and governance polls
Try asking your AI
- “What is the current price of iUSD and iBTC?”
- “Show me the health of the loans for this Cardano address: addr1...”
- “How much is staked in the INDY stability pool right now?”
- “What are the current Indigo protocol parameters and open governance polls?”
What it gives back to you
You get answers in plain chat: prices as numbers, lists of loans with their collateral ratios, pool totals, staking amounts, and short summaries of protocol stats. For loan actions, it can hand back a prepared transaction for you to sign, plus a note about how long the price quote stays valid. Everything shows up as normal text and small tables in your conversation.
Before you start
What you need
- Node.js installed on your computer (the setup command uses it)
- A Blockfrost API key for write actions like building transactions (a kind of password for apps; you get one free at blockfrost.io)
- An MCP-capable AI app such as Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor or Windsurf
Good to know
Some tools can prepare real transactions that open, change or close loans on Cardano, so always read the details carefully and sign only what you understand; the price quote inside a prepared transaction expires after about 280 seconds.
Install it with your AI
Add Indigo Protocol MCP server to your AI, no technical skills needed
You don't install anything by hand. You copy one prompt, paste it into an AI that can work on your computer, and it checks, installs and connects the server for you, asking you when it needs something.
Sign in to get the install prompt
Members get a ready-made prompt that lets the Claude desktop app check Indigo Protocol MCP server, install it and connect it for them, step by step. You don't need any technical skills: you copy, paste and answer a few questions. Your connected AI can also find and install any of the 4,066 MCP servers here for you.
Who it's for
People who follow Cardano DeFi and want quick, conversational answers about Indigo Protocol prices, loans, staking and governance without opening several dashboards.
