Crypto Stocks MCP server
by kukapay
Lets your AI look up real-time prices and history for crypto-related stocks like Coinbase and MicroStrategy.

This is a small helper that connects your AI assistant to live data about stocks tied to crypto, such as Coinbase and MicroStrategy. It is handy if you follow crypto markets and want quick price checks without opening a finance site. You just ask in plain words and your AI does the looking up.
What is an MCP server? The 30-second version
On its own, your AI can only chat with you using what it already learned. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to an outside service. This one connects your AI to a source of crypto-related stock data, so it can check prices and history for you. You do not need to understand how it works inside; you just ask, and the helper fetches the numbers.
What this MCP server does
You ask your AI something like what is the latest price for Coinbase. The AI passes your question to this helper program. The helper talks to its stock data source and pulls back the current price, the ticker, the company name, and the time it was checked. Then the AI shows you that as a neat table right in the chat. If you ask about the past, it can also fetch a list of daily closing prices and trading volumes.
Click to zoomWhat you can do with it
- List the crypto-related stocks it tracks, with tickers and company names
- Get the latest price for a specific stock, with a timestamp
- Fetch historical daily prices and trading volumes for a set number of days
- Ask in plain English instead of looking up a finance site yourself
- Get answers shown as a clean table in your chat
Try asking your AI
- “Show me all crypto-related stocks.”
- “What's the latest price for Coinbase?”
- “Show me the historical prices for MicroStrategy over the past 30 days.”
- “Get the latest price and historical data for Coinbase Global Inc. (COIN).”
What it gives back to you
You get back a small table in the chat. For a list, it shows tickers and company names. For a price, it shows the ticker, company name, price, and the time it was checked. For history, it shows a row per day with the closing price and trading volume.
