Dune Analytics MCP server
by kukapay
Lets your AI pull results from Dune Analytics queries so you can read blockchain data without leaving the chat.

This is a small helper that connects your AI assistant to Dune Analytics, a site where people save and share queries about blockchain data. Once it is set up, you can ask your AI to fetch the results of a Dune query by its number, and it will bring the data back to you. It is handy if you already use Dune and want a quicker way to check numbers without opening the site.
What is an MCP server? The 30-second version
On its own, your AI can only chat with you. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to another service. This one connects your AI to Dune Analytics, so when you ask about a specific Dune query, the AI can go fetch the latest results and show them to you right in the conversation.
What this MCP server does
You ask your AI something like "get the latest results for Dune query 1215383." The AI passes that request to this helper program. The helper talks to Dune Analytics using your Dune API key and either grabs the last saved results or runs the query fresh. Dune sends the data back, and the helper hands it to your AI as a CSV-style block of text. Your AI then shows it to you in the chat.
Click to zoomWhat you can do with it
- Fetch the latest saved results of a Dune query by its ID
- Run a Dune query again and get fresh results
- Get query results as CSV text you can copy into a spreadsheet
- Check blockchain numbers without opening the Dune website
- Ask your AI to compare results from two different Dune queries
Try asking your AI
- “Get the latest results for Dune query 1215383”
- “Run Dune query 4853921 and show me the output”
- “Fetch the latest results of Dune query 1215383 and summarize the top rows”
- “Run Dune query 1215383 and tell me how many rows came back”
What it gives back to you
You get back the query results as a block of CSV text, which looks like rows of values separated by commas with a header line on top. Your AI can then read that text and summarize it, count rows, or point out interesting numbers for you. If the query fails or the ID is wrong, you will usually see an error message instead of data.
Before you start
What you need
- Python 3.10 or newer installed on your computer
- A Dune Analytics account
- A Dune Analytics API key (a kind of password for apps; you get one free from your Dune account settings)
- The Claude desktop app if you want to use it there
Good to know
Running a query uses your Dune account and may count against your Dune plan limits, so avoid running the same query over and over.
Install it with your AI
Add Dune Analytics MCP server to your AI, no technical skills needed
You don't install anything by hand. You copy one prompt, paste it into an AI that can work on your computer, and it checks, installs and connects the server for you, asking you when it needs something.
Sign in to get the install prompt
Members get a ready-made prompt that lets the Claude desktop app check Dune Analytics MCP server, install it and connect it for them, step by step. You don't need any technical skills: you copy, paste and answer a few questions. Your connected AI can also find and install any of the 4,066 MCP servers here for you.
Who it's for
People who already use Dune Analytics for blockchain data and want to check query results through their AI assistant instead of the website.
