LongPort MCP server
by longportapp
Ask your AI about US and Hong Kong stocks, check your LongPort account, and place trades in plain words.

This is the official helper that connects your AI assistant to LongPort, a brokerage app for US and Hong Kong markets. Once it is connected, you can ask your AI things like what a stock is doing right now, or what is in your portfolio, and it will go and find out for you. It is handy if you already have a LongPort account and want to skip clicking around the app for every little question.
What is an MCP server? The 30-second version
On its own, your AI can only chat with you using what it already knows. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill, in this case a live connection to LongPort. When you ask a question about a stock or your account, your AI passes the request to this helper, the helper talks to LongPort, and the answer comes back into your chat. You do not run anything yourself here, because LongPort hosts this helper for you at a web address.
What this MCP server does
You ask your AI a question in normal words, like what Apple is trading at or how your positions are doing today. Your AI sends that request to the LongPort helper, which passes it to LongPort using your own LongPort login. LongPort sends back the data, and the helper tidies it up so the numbers and names are easy to read. Your AI then shows you the result right in the chat, as a list, a short summary, or a set of numbers. If you ask it to place or change an order, the helper sends that to LongPort too and tells you what happened.
Click to zoomWhat you can do with it
- Look up real-time and historical prices for US and Hong Kong stocks
- Check your account balance, positions, and past trades
- Place, change, or cancel stock orders
- Read company financials, dividends, and analyst views
- Browse IPO listings and finance calendar events
- Set up price alerts and dollar-cost averaging plans
- Search news and community discussions about a stock
Try asking your AI
- “What is Nvidia trading at right now?”
- “Show me my current positions and how much I am up or down today.”
- “What are the next earnings dates for Hong Kong listed tech companies?”
- “Set a price alert for Tesla at 250 dollars.”
What it gives back to you
You get answers in your chat: price tables, lists of your positions with numbers, short summaries of company financials, or a simple confirmation that an order or alert was placed. The helper cleans up the data first, so dates look like normal dates and stock names look like normal ticker symbols. If something goes wrong, you get a plain error message instead of a wall of technical text.
Before you start
What you need
- A LongPort account (the helper uses your LongPort login)
- An MCP client that supports remote servers, such as Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor, or Zed
- Nothing else to install, because LongPort hosts this helper for you
Good to know
This helper can place real trades and change your account, so only connect it to an account you are happy to act on, and double check any order before you confirm it.
Install it with your AI
Add LongPort MCP server to your AI, no technical skills needed
You don't install anything by hand. You copy one prompt, paste it into an AI that can work on your computer, and it checks, installs and connects the server for you, asking you when it needs something.
Sign in to get the install prompt
Members get a ready-made prompt that lets the Claude desktop app check LongPort MCP server, install it and connect it for them, step by step. You don't need any technical skills: you copy, paste and answer a few questions. Your connected AI can also find and install any of the 4,066 MCP servers here for you.
Who it's for
LongPort users and anyone who follows US or Hong Kong stocks and wants to ask questions in plain words instead of clicking through an app.
