PostSider MCP server

by lumizone · official

Let your AI see your PostSider channels, calendar, drafts and analytics, and prepare posts for you.

PostSider is a tool for planning and scheduling social media posts across many platforms from one calendar. This MCP server is the bridge that lets your AI assistant work inside PostSider for you. It is handy if you already use PostSider and want help drafting, checking your schedule, or looking up numbers without clicking around.

What is an MCP server? The 30-second version

On its own, your AI can only chat with you. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to an app, and here that app is PostSider. Once it is connected, your AI can ask PostSider for your channels, your calendar, or your drafts, and it can prepare new drafts there when you ask. You stay in charge: the helper is set up to read first and draft first, so nothing goes out to the public by surprise.

What this MCP server does

You ask your AI something about your social media, like what is scheduled this week or which channels are connected. Your AI sends that request to this helper, and the helper talks to your PostSider account through its regular interface. PostSider sends back the answer, and your AI shows it to you in the chat in plain words. If you ask it to prepare a post, it can create a draft inside PostSider so you can review it there before anything is published.

What you can do with it

  • List the social channels connected to your PostSider account
  • Show what is scheduled on your publishing calendar
  • Create a draft post for a channel you choose
  • Send a draft for approval
  • Upload media to use in a post
  • Look at your scheduled content
  • Read your analytics numbers

Try asking your AI

  • “List my connected PostSider channels. Do not create or modify anything.”
  • “What is scheduled on my PostSider calendar for next week?”
  • “Create a draft post for my LinkedIn page about our new office opening.”
  • “Show me the analytics for my last few published posts.”

What it gives back to you

You get answers in the chat: a list of channels, a rundown of what is scheduled, or the numbers from your analytics. When it creates something, it tells you which draft it made and where to find it in PostSider. Nothing is published to the public on its own; the work waits for you in PostSider.

Before you start

What you need

  • A PostSider account (hosted, or your own self-hosted copy)
  • A PostSider API key from your organization
  • The web address of the PostSider instance you want to use
  • Node.js installed on your computer if you run the helper locally

Good to know

It can create drafts and change scheduled content in your PostSider account, so keep an eye on what your AI prepares before you approve or publish anything.

Install it with your AI

Add PostSider MCP server to your AI, no technical skills needed

You don't install anything by hand. You copy one prompt, paste it into an AI that can work on your computer, and it checks, installs and connects the server for you, asking you when it needs something.
