Auto Browser MCP server
by LvcidPsyche
Give your AI a real browser it can drive, with a human able to step in and take over.

Auto Browser is a helper program that gives your AI its own web browser to work in. You ask your AI to visit a page, click things, fill in a form or take a screenshot, and it actually does it in a real browser window. It is handy for people who need to check dashboards, test a website, or log in somewhere once and reuse that login later.
What is an MCP server? The 30-second version
On its own, your AI can only chat with you. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to another app, and here that skill is driving a real browser. You install Auto Browser on your own computer, and your AI talks to it. Then when you ask your AI to open a page or click a button, it asks this helper to do it for you.
What this MCP server does
You ask your AI to do something on a website, like open a page or fill in a form. Your AI sends that request to Auto Browser, which runs a real browser window behind the scenes. Auto Browser carries out the clicks and typing, and can take screenshots or read parts of the page. It then sends the result back to your AI, which tells you what happened. If something is tricky or the site gets confusing, a person can jump into the same live browser window and take over.
Click to zoomWhat you can do with it
- Open a website and take a screenshot of what is on screen
- Click buttons, fill in forms and move between pages
- Log in once and save that login so later sessions start already signed in
- Read text from a page or from a file the browser downloaded
- Open and switch between several browser tabs
- Step in yourself through a live view when the site gets tricky
- Keep a record of what was done, with approvals for sensitive actions
Try asking your AI
- “Open our admin dashboard and tell me how many orders are waiting”
- “Log in to the supplier site and download last month's invoice as a CSV”
- “Go to the pricing page and take a screenshot so I can check the layout”
- “Fill in the contact form on this page with my details and submit it”
What it gives back to you
You get back plain answers in the chat, like a short summary of what the page said or how many items were found. It can also send screenshots straight into the chat so you can see the page. If it downloaded a file, it can read the text inside and show you the relevant part. When it changes something on a site, it tells you what it did.
Before you start
What you need
- Docker installed on your computer (a free tool that runs small programs in tidy boxes)
- A terminal where you can run a couple of commands
- About 10 minutes for the first setup
Good to know
It can click, type and change things on real websites, so only point it at sites you are allowed to use and keep an eye on what it does.
