Company Change-Event Feed MCP server
by mambalabsdev
Lets your AI watch a company and tell you only what changed since last time.
This is a small helper that lets your AI keep an eye on a company and report back only the things that changed since the last time you checked. It looks at hiring, tech stack, funding, company facts, and social presence. It is handy if you track target accounts and do not want to re-read the same information every week.
What is an MCP server? The 30-second version
On its own, your AI can only chat with you using what it already knows. An MCP server is a small helper program you connect once, and it gives your AI a new skill. This helper connects your AI to a company change monitoring service that runs on Apify. So when you ask about a company, your AI can go check that service and bring the answer back to you.
What this MCP server does
You ask your AI something like what changed at a company since the last check. Your AI passes that request to this helper. The helper runs a monitoring job on Apify that looks at the company across hiring, tech stack, funding, company facts, and social presence. It compares what it finds now with the last snapshot it saved, and returns only the differences. You get a short list of changes in your chat, each with a severity and old and new values.
What you can do with it
- Check what changed at a company since your last run
- Monitor several company domains in one go
- Filter to only high-severity changes like funding or exec moves
- Pick which sources to watch, such as hiring or tech stack
- Set a first baseline for a new company, then check it later
- See whether each source ran fine or was skipped
Try asking your AI
- “What changed at stripe.com since the last check across hiring, tech stack, and firmographics?”
- “Monitor hubspot.com and tell me only the high-severity changes.”
- “Run a baseline for deel.com with company name Deel, then check it next week for deltas.”
- “Did anything change in the GTM signals for notion.so?”
What it gives back to you
You get one row per company with the domain, the run date, whether it was a baseline run, and the total number of changes. There is a list of change events, each with a type, a severity, a confidence, and the old and new value. You also get a snapshot of the current state so the next run can compare against it. In the chat this shows up as a short summary with the changes listed out.
Before you start
What you need
- Node.js 18 or newer
- An Apify account with an API token (a kind of password for apps; you get it for free from the Apify website)
Good to know
Each run uses your Apify account and can cost money, so pick fewer sources or a higher minimum severity to keep costs down.
