Musevate MCP server

by musevate

Turn prompts or images into AI videos across models like Sora, Veo and Kling, with a price check first.

Flow diagram: you ask your AI “Make me a 5 second video of a neon-lit street at night”, the Musevate MCP server works in steps: check the price, then make the video, then get your video, and you get back your finished video.

Musevate is a video making service you reach through your AI assistant. You describe the clip you want, or hand over a picture to animate, and the assistant sends the job off and brings back the finished video. It is handy if you need short clips for a post, a slide or a client, and you would rather not learn a video tool.

What is an MCP server? The 30-second version

On its own, your AI can only chat. An MCP server is a small helper that gives it one new skill, here the ability to make videos through Musevate. Once it is connected, you ask in normal words and the AI passes the request to Musevate, which does the actual rendering. You never touch the video software yourself.

What this MCP server does

You tell your AI what video you want, in a sentence or two. The AI asks Musevate what that would cost, and Musevate answers with a price and the model that would make it. If you say go ahead, Musevate starts the render and hands back an id. About a minute later the AI checks on it and gives you a link to the finished video, good for one hour.

What you can do with it

  • Make a short video from a written description
  • Animate a still picture you already have
  • Use up to thirty reference images so a character or logo stays consistent
  • See which video models are available and what each one costs
  • Get a price for a clip before you spend anything
  • Check how many credits you have left
  • Pick up the finished video as a link

Try asking your AI

  • “Make me a 5 second video of a slow dolly through a neon-lit street at night”
  • “How much would it cost to animate this photo for 8 seconds”
  • “Turn this logo into a video where it rotates to face the camera”
  • “Use these three reference images and make a clip of the character walking through snow”

What it gives back to you

You get plain answers in the chat: a list of models with their prices, a quote with a number of credits, a status line while the video renders, and finally a link you can open or download. The link stays valid for one hour, so save the file if you want to keep it. If something goes wrong for a technical reason, the credits are refunded automatically.

Before you start

What you need

  • A Musevate account (sign in through your AI client, or make an API key at musevate.com/settings)
  • Credits on that account, since each video is paid for from a prepaid balance
  • An AI client that supports custom connectors, such as Claude, ChatGPT or Claude Code

Good to know

generate_video spends real credits from your prepaid balance, so check the free quote first and only say go ahead when you are happy with the price.

Install it with your AI

Add Musevate MCP server to your AI, no technical skills needed

You don't install anything by hand. You copy one prompt, paste it into an AI that can work on your computer, and it checks, installs and connects the server for you, asking you when it needs something.
