AlphaPipeline MCP server

by parkyucheol-del

Check a crypto token for scam risk and pull market data like funding rates and price gaps, paying a few cents per lookup.

Flow diagram: you ask your AI “Is this token on Base a honeypot?”, the AlphaPipeline MCP server reaches GoPlus, Honeypot.is, Bybit, Coinbase and Polymarket, and you get back plain numbers and short lists.

AlphaPipeline is a helper you connect to your AI so it can look up crypto market data and run safety checks on tokens. It is aimed at people who trade or follow crypto and want quick answers without opening five different websites. You pay a tiny amount per lookup, usually between half a cent and three cents, and there is no signup or account.

What is an MCP server? The 30-second version

On its own, your AI can only chat with you using what it already knows. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to a service, and here that service is AlphaPipeline. Once connected, your AI can ask AlphaPipeline for live crypto data, like whether a token looks like a scam or what the funding rate is right now. You just ask in normal words, and the AI goes and fetches it for you.

What this MCP server does

You ask your AI something like whether a token is safe to buy or what a funding rate is. Your AI sends that request to the AlphaPipeline helper. The helper talks to data sources like GoPlus, Honeypot.is, Bybit, Coinbase and Polymarket, and pulls back the numbers. It hands the result to your AI, which explains it to you in the chat. For paid lookups, a small amount of USDC is charged automatically from a wallet, so you need a paying client set up, not just a plain chat window.

What you can do with it

  • Check whether a token is a honeypot or has high buy and sell taxes before you swap
  • See if a token's liquidity is locked, burned, or held by one wallet
  • Look up DEX pool depth and estimated slippage for a trade size
  • Pull the current perpetual futures funding rate and its yearly rate
  • Compare a Coinbase price against a DEX price to spot a spread
  • Check the Korea versus global price gap, also called the kimchi premium
  • See how much of a Polymarket position could actually be sold right now

Try asking your AI

  • “Is this token on Base a honeypot? Here is the contract address.”
  • “What is the current funding rate for Bitcoin perpetuals?”
  • “What is the kimchi premium right now?”
  • “Can I sell 500 shares of this Polymarket market without moving the price?”

What it gives back to you

You get back plain numbers and short lists, like a honeypot yes or no, buy and sell tax percentages, liquidity status, funding rates, or price impact. Everything comes with a timestamp in both UTC and Korea time. Your AI then explains it to you in the chat, in normal words. The server does not give a final buy or no-buy verdict, so you or your AI still decide what to do.

Before you start

What you need

  • An MCP client like Claude Desktop or Cursor
  • For paid lookups, a wallet with a small amount of USDC on the Base network and an x402-aware client that can pay automatically
  • No account, signup, or API key is needed

Good to know

Paid lookups charge real USDC from your wallet on every call, so use a small dedicated wallet and check the price before you run a batch.
