Pequerecetas MCP server
by smeet666
Search Spanish family recipes, read them with servings rescaled, and browse by diet, ingredient, appliance or age.

This is a small helper that connects your AI chat to Pequerecetas, a Spanish home-cooking site full of family recipes. You can ask for a dish, read the recipe with the amounts adjusted to your table, or browse by diet, main ingredient, appliance or the age of whoever eats it. It is handy if you cook in Spanish, or if you want to try Spanish family food and need the quantities to fit your household.
What is an MCP server? The 30-second version
On its own, your AI can only chat with you. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill, in this case a connection to the Pequerecetas recipe site. Once it is connected, your AI can look up recipes there and bring them back to you when you ask. You do not need an account or a password for this one.
What this MCP server does
You ask your AI for something, like a seafood paella or recipes you can make in an air fryer. Your AI passes the request to this helper, and the helper reads the Pequerecetas site for you. It can search by dish or ingredient, list the categories the site uses, or walk through a category page by page. When you open a recipe, it can also rescale the ingredient amounts to the number of people you are cooking for, and it can rescale any Spanish ingredient list you already have, even without going online.
Click to zoomWhat you can do with it
- Search recipes by dish or by ingredient, in Spanish
- Read a recipe and rescale its amounts to your number of servings
- List the values the site uses for diet, age, main ingredient, occasion, appliance, cuisine and kind of dish
- Browse recipes under one category, page by page
- Rescale any Spanish ingredient list you paste in, without contacting the site
- See whether a result is a single recipe or an article gathering several recipes
What it gives back to you
You get back recipe titles, links and photos, and when you open one, the full recipe with ingredients, steps, times, categories and nutrition where the page states them. If you asked for a different number of servings, each ingredient line comes back with the new amount and a note saying whether it was scaled exactly, rounded to something you can measure, or left alone. For a list you paste in yourself, you get each line rewritten with its new quantity. You also get short notes when something could not be read or when a page states no serving number.
