Swebsy MCP server
by swebsy · official
Let your coding agent build and edit real Swebsy websites, then export the files.
This is a small helper that connects the coding agent you already use to Swebsy, a visual website builder. Once it is set up, you can ask your agent in plain words to build a site, change sections, add pages, and take screenshots. It is handy if you already pay for a coding agent and would rather not pay extra per message for an AI website builder.
What is an MCP server? The 30-second version
On its own, your AI can only chat with you. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to an app. This one connects your AI to Swebsy, so when you ask for a website, the AI can actually open Swebsy and work inside it for you. It runs on your own computer and talks to the Swebsy Studio tab you have open in your browser.
What this MCP server does
You ask your AI to build or change a website. The AI uses this helper to talk to the Swebsy Studio tab open in your browser. Swebsy then creates the site, edits the sections, adds pages, or takes a screenshot, depending on what you asked. The result comes back to you in the chat, and the finished site can be exported as real HTML, CSS, and JavaScript files. Nothing goes through Swebsy's servers; the helper talks to your browser over a local connection.
What you can do with it
- Browse and list the website templates installed in Swebsy
- Create a new blank site or start from a template
- Open an existing site and rename it
- Add, edit, and rearrange sections on a page
- Create new pages and link them together
- Insert reusable blocks and keep shared symbols in sync
- Take screenshots at any screen size
- Export the finished site as HTML, CSS, and JS files
Try asking your AI
- “Build me a landing page with Swebsy.”
- “Add a pricing section to my homepage and change the heading to Our Plans.”
- “Create an About page and link it in the top menu.”
- “Take a screenshot of the homepage on a phone-sized screen.”
- “Export my site so I can host it myself.”
What it gives back to you
You get answers and updates right in the chat, like a list of templates, a confirmation that a section was added, or a note that a page was created. Screenshots come back as image files, and exports come back as a folder of HTML, CSS, and JS files saved on your computer. If something goes wrong, you get a short message explaining what happened, such as the tab being asleep.
Before you start
What you need
- Node.js installed on your computer (the setup command uses it)
- A coding agent that supports MCP, such as Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Windsurf, Cline, or GitHub Copilot in VS Code
- A Swebsy Studio tab open in your browser (it opens automatically the first time you ask)
Good to know
The agent can change your site content and settings, so keep an eye on what it does, and remember your coding agent's own privacy rules still apply to whatever it sees.
Install it with your AI
Add Swebsy MCP server to your AI, no technical skills needed
You don't install anything by hand. You copy one prompt, paste it into an AI that can work on your computer, and it checks, installs and connects the server for you, asking you when it needs something.
Sign in to get the install prompt
Members get a ready-made prompt that lets the Claude desktop app check Swebsy MCP server, install it and connect it for them, step by step. You don't need any technical skills: you copy, paste and answer a few questions. Your connected AI can also find and install any of the 4,361 MCP servers here for you.
Who it's for
People who already use a coding agent and want to build or edit websites without paying extra per message for an AI website builder.
