TeleMem MCP server
by TeleAI-UAGI
Give your AI a long-term memory that remembers people, characters, and even video content.

TeleMem is a memory helper for AI. It lets your AI remember things across conversations, keep separate notes for each person or character, and even store what happens in videos. It is handy if you use AI for role-play, companion chat, or any assistant that should not forget what you told it last week.
What is an MCP server? The 30-second version
On its own, your AI can only chat with what is in front of it. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to another service. This one connects your AI to TeleMem, a memory store that runs on your own computer. When you ask your AI to remember or look something up, it talks to TeleMem, and TeleMem keeps or finds the memory for you.
What this MCP server does
You tell your AI something worth remembering, like a fact about a person or a detail from a story. Your AI passes that to TeleMem through this helper. TeleMem writes it down, tidies similar notes together, and keeps each character's memories in their own separate folder. Later, when you ask a question, your AI asks TeleMem to search, and TeleMem hands back the most relevant memories. If you have video turned on, TeleMem can also break a video into frames, describe them, and answer questions about what happened.
Click to zoomWhat you can do with it
- Save facts and details from a conversation so your AI remembers them later
- Keep separate memory profiles for different people or characters
- Search your saved memories by asking a plain question
- Merge duplicate or similar memories so notes stay tidy
- Store and search memories made from video content
- Answer questions about what happened in a video
- List or review the memories saved for a person
Try asking your AI
- “Remember that Jordan takes the subway to work and leaves at 7 in the morning”
- “What do you know about Bai Yulan's relationship with Zhao Qi?”
- “Save this under the character Mira, not the main narrator”
- “What happened in the video I uploaded yesterday?”
What it gives back to you
You get back a short list of matching memories, each one a sentence or two in plain words. For video questions, you get an answer built from what the video showed. When you save something, you get a quiet confirmation that it was stored. Everything shows up right in your chat, so you can read it and keep going.
Before you start
What you need
- Python 3.10 or newer
- An OpenAI API key, or a local model setup if you prefer to keep everything on your machine
- The telemem package installed with the MCP extra
Good to know
It can change and delete your saved memories, so be careful with delete and delete_all, and remember that anything you save is stored on your machine or wherever you point it.
Install it with your AI
Add TeleMem MCP server to your AI, no technical skills needed
You don't install anything by hand. You copy one prompt, paste it into an AI that can work on your computer, and it checks, installs and connects the server for you, asking you when it needs something.
Sign in to get the install prompt
Members get a ready-made prompt that lets the Claude desktop app check TeleMem MCP server, install it and connect it for them, step by step. You don't need any technical skills: you copy, paste and answer a few questions. Your connected AI can also find and install any of the 4,066 MCP servers here for you.
