SoluCortex MCP server

by soluai-spa · official

Lets your AI remember a project's decisions, rules and risks, and recall them before it starts work.

SoluCortex is a memory service for AI helpers. This MCP server connects your AI to a SoluCortex project so it can look up the decisions, conventions and risks your team already agreed on before it starts a task, and write down what it learned when it finishes. It is handy if you work with an AI on the same project over many days and you are tired of repeating the same background every time.

What is an MCP server? The 30-second version

On its own, your AI can only chat with you. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to an app or service. This one connects your AI to SoluCortex, your project's shared technical memory. So when you ask your AI to work on something, it can quietly check what your team already decided and follow those rules.

What this MCP server does

You ask your AI to start a task, like fixing a bug or adding a feature. The AI uses this helper to ask SoluCortex for the relevant memories of your project, ranked by how close they are to your task and how important they are. SoluCortex sends back the approved decisions, conventions, risks and architecture notes that matter. When the task is done, the AI can record a new memory of what it learned. You can also ask it to search memories, list them, correct one, or flag one as outdated for a human to review.

What you can do with it

  • Recall the approved decisions and conventions for a task before your AI starts
  • Search your project's memories with a plain question
  • Record a new lesson or decision at the end of a task
  • Correct a memory that is right in spirit but wrong in detail
  • Flag a memory as outdated so a human can review it
  • List all memories in a project for a quick audit

Try asking your AI

  • “Before you start, recall the conventions and risks for the billing module.”
  • “Search our memories for anything about how we handle date formats.”
  • “Remember that we decided to use UTC everywhere and why.”
  • “Flag the memory about the old login flow as outdated, we replaced it last month.”

What it gives back to you

You get back a short, readable answer in the chat. For a recall, that is a ranked list of the most relevant memories with their type and content. For a search, it is the matching memories. For a remember or update, it is a confirmation that the memory was saved or sent back for approval. It does not dump raw data on you, it summarises.

Before you start

What you need

  • A SoluCortex account
  • A project API key from your SoluCortex dashboard (starts with scx_)
  • One of: uv, Python 3.10 or newer, or Docker, if you run it locally

Good to know

Your AI can add and edit memories, but it can never delete them or change their approval status, so nothing is lost without a human agreeing in the SoluCortex panel. Never store real passwords or secret keys in a memory.

Install it with your AI

Add SoluCortex MCP server to your AI, no technical skills needed

You don't install anything by hand. You copy one prompt, paste it into an AI that can work on your computer, and it checks, installs and connects the server for you, asking you when it needs something.

Members get a ready-made prompt that lets the Claude desktop app check SoluCortex MCP server, install it and connect it for them, step by step. You don't need any technical skills: you copy, paste and answer a few questions. Your connected AI can also find and install any of the 4,066 MCP servers here for you.

Who it's for

Developers and small teams who use an AI coding assistant on the same project over many sessions and want it to remember the team's decisions.
