Tersign MCP server
by tersignhq
Your AI can sign, verify and dispute receipts for agent payments, with tamper-proof evidence.

Tersign is a service that keeps a signed, tamper-proof record of deals made between AI agents. This MCP server lets your AI create and check those records for you. It is handy if you run an AI agent that pays or gets paid, or if you ever need proof of what was agreed.
What is an MCP server? The 30-second version
On its own, your AI can only chat. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to an app or service. This one connects your AI to Tersign, a service that stores signed receipts and evidence. Once connected, your AI can create, verify and dispute those records for you when you ask.
What this MCP server does
You ask your AI to do something, like issue a receipt or check one. The AI passes your request to this helper program. The helper talks to the Tersign service and signs the record with a key on your machine. Tersign counter-signs it and adds it to a chain of records. You get back a short answer, a digest (a long code that identifies the record) and a verdict.
Click to zoomWhat you can do with it
- Issue a signed receipt for a payment or deal
- Verify a receipt or digest you already have
- Record a disclosure that your AI told someone it was an AI
- Record a refund linked to an earlier receipt
- Open a dispute and attach evidence to it
- Check the status of a dispute
- Verify a compliance record
Try asking your AI
- “Issue a receipt for this payment and give me the digest”
- “Verify this receipt file and tell me if the signature is valid”
- “Record that my agent disclosed it was an AI in this chat”
- “Open a dispute on this receipt with reason code wrong_item”
What it gives back to you
You get back short answers in the chat. For a receipt, you get a digest (a long code) and a confirmation that it was signed and chained. For a verification, you get a verdict like VALID or INVALID and a note about what was checked. For a dispute, you get its status and any evidence attached.
Before you start
What you need
- Node.js 18 or newer
- No account needed for basic use. A free signer key is created on your machine the first time.
Good to know
The server signs records with a key on your machine and can send them to the Tersign service, so only use it if you are comfortable with that. Some tools need extra settings and may not work without them.
Install it with your AI
Add Tersign MCP server to your AI, no technical skills needed
You don't install anything by hand. You copy one prompt, paste it into an AI that can work on your computer, and it checks, installs and connects the server for you, asking you when it needs something.
Sign in to get the install prompt
Members get a ready-made prompt that lets the Claude desktop app check Tersign MCP server, install it and connect it for them, step by step. You don't need any technical skills: you copy, paste and answer a few questions. Your connected AI can also find and install any of the 4,066 MCP servers here for you.
Who it's for
People who run AI agents that buy or sell things, and anyone who needs a signed, tamper-proof record of an online deal.
