traql MCP server
by traql
Lets your AI check crypto addresses and transactions for sanctions, mixer and scam risk, with a 0 to 100 score.

This is a helper for your AI that checks crypto addresses and transactions for risk. You ask a plain question like is it safe to send to this address, and it comes back with a risk score from 0 to 100, a band such as clean or critical, and the reasons behind it. It is handy for anyone in compliance, finance or crypto support who has to look at wallets and transfers every day.
What is an MCP server? The 30-second version
On its own, your AI can only chat with you. It cannot look anything up in the outside world. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI one new skill, here the skill of checking crypto addresses and transactions against sanctions and risk data. Once it is connected, your AI can call on that helper whenever you ask a question about a wallet or a transfer.
What this MCP server does
You ask your AI something about a crypto address or a transfer. Your AI passes that request to this helper program. The helper sends it to the traql service, which checks the address or both sides of the transfer against sanctions lists, freeze events, mixer and hack attributions, and counterparty exposure. The service sends back a score, a band, flags and the individual signals behind them. Your AI then shows you that in the chat as a readable answer.
Click to zoomWhat you can do with it
- Check a single crypto address on Ethereum, BNB Chain, TRON, TON or Bitcoin
- Screen a transfer before you send it, by giving the sender and recipient
- Look up a transaction that is already on chain by its hash
- See which sanctions list or label caused the risk, with a source and confidence
- Get a 0 to 100 score and a band such as clean, elevated or critical
- Spot indirect exposure, like money that came from a sanctioned counterparty
Try asking your AI
- “Is it safe to send USDT to this Ethereum address 0x8589427373d6d84e98730d7795d8f6f8731fda16”
- “Screen this transfer before I send it: from my TRON wallet to this recipient, 500 USDT”
- “Check this Bitcoin address for sanctions and mixer links”
- “Look up this Ethereum transaction hash and tell me the risk on both sides”
What it gives back to you
You get a short written answer in the chat, like a risk score out of 100, a band such as critical, and a list of flags like sanctions, mixer or scam. With an API key you also get every individual signal, each with its source, its weight and a confidence number. The AI can also show the raw structured result if you want the details. Nothing is changed anywhere; it only reads and scores.
Before you start
What you need
- Node.js 18 or newer on your computer
- An API key from traql (sign up at app.traql.io; free checks are included, and the key is shown once)
Good to know
The scores are advisory signals, not a legal verdict, so do not treat a low score as proof that everything is fine or a high score as proof of wrongdoing.
