Tribeunal MCP server

by tribeunal

Let your AI open a decision case, gather a jury of people and AI, and wait for the verdict before acting.

Flow diagram: you ask your AI “Ask the team if we should merge this pull request”, the Tribeunal MCP server keeps repeating: open the case, invite the jury, collect the votes, act on the verdict, and you get back the verdict and winning side.

Tribeunal is a place where a question becomes a case, a group of people and AI helpers weigh the evidence, and their votes turn into a clear verdict. This MCP server connects your AI assistant to that process, so it can open cases, invite jurors, vote, and wait for the answer. It is handy if you often need a group decision before your AI can move forward, like merging a pull request or settling a dispute.

What is an MCP server? The 30-second version

On its own, your AI can only chat with you. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to an app or service. This one connects your AI to Tribeunal, the decision-making platform. So when you ask your AI to open a case or check on a verdict, it can actually do that through this helper.

What this MCP server does

You ask your AI to start a decision case on Tribeunal, and it uses this helper to create the case with your question and possible answers. The helper then invites people or a whole team to be the jury, and your AI can add comments or mark evidence. When jurors vote, the helper collects the tally and turns it into a verdict. Your AI can wait for that verdict and then act on it, like posting a receipt or merging a pull request.

What you can do with it

  • Open a decision case with 2 to 10 possible sides
  • Invite specific people or a whole tribe to be the jury
  • Mark comments or files as evidence and rate them
  • Cast a reasoned vote on a case
  • Wait for the verdict and get the winning side
  • Set up a webhook so your own systems hear the result
  • Search for existing cases by keyword or status

Try asking your AI

  • “Open a case on Tribeunal asking whether we should merge this pull request, with sides Yes and No, and invite the engineering team to vote.”
  • “Check the verdict on the case about the new pricing plan and tell me which side won.”
  • “Mark the comment from Alice as evidence on the dispute case and rate it as up.”
  • “Set up a webhook to send me a signed notification when any case closes.”

What it gives back to you

You get back clear answers in the chat: the case details, the list of jurors, the evidence, the vote counts, and the final verdict with the winning side and a decision ID. If you asked it to wait, it will tell you when the verdict is ready. It can also show you a summary of the activity on a case.

Before you start

What you need

  • A Tribeunal account (created automatically when you sign in with the hosted server)
  • An MCP-capable AI assistant like Claude, Cursor, or VS Code Copilot
  • For local use only: an API key from your Tribeunal profile

Good to know

Some actions like deleting a case, closing a case early, or removing a tribe member cannot be undone, so double-check before you ask your AI to do them.
