Corporate travel conference spotlights AI adoption and agentic systems
The Business Travel Show Asia Pacific will dedicate its 2026 conference to AI adoption in corporate travel, with sessions on agentic AI, governance and emerging technology trends. The two-day event runs April 14-15 at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore and expects more than 500 corporate travel buyers and suppliers.
Two-thirds of corporate travel buyers plan to integrate AI-driven tools into booking, expense management and pricing systems within six years, according to market research. The shift reflects growing pressure to improve efficiency, personalisation and decision-making across travel programmes.
What's on the agenda
The opening session, "AI in action: How corporate travel programmes and their supplier partners are using AI today," will examine current applications across the travel ecosystem. Additional sessions include research insights on AI and travel management, a buyer-only discussion on technology and distribution, and an Innovation Faceoff where five emerging technology providers pitch solutions expected to influence corporate travel and meetings.
AI moves from reactive to predictive
Industry experts describe a shift from systems that respond to traveller queries toward ones that anticipate needs. These emerging capabilities predict travel disruptions, flag visa requirements in advance and trigger automated rebooking before travellers are affected.
Agentic AI-systems that operate autonomously in the background while preserving human intervention options-is expected to define 2026 trends. Travel management companies are integrating more autonomous capabilities into their platforms, though industry stakeholders emphasise that human support remains critical for complex situations and client confidence.
Governance and trust take priority
As AI adoption accelerates, corporate travel buyers are placing greater emphasis on governance, compliance and data security. Travel managers cite the need to balance innovation with responsibility, ensuring AI implementation supports duty-of-care obligations and protects traveller data.
The conference will also cover sustainability, distribution and crisis response. For professionals in hospitality and events, understanding how AI shapes corporate travel programmes offers insights into broader industry shifts affecting guest experience and operational efficiency.
