The Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development (KFED) has launched the second edition of its Prompt Engineering program in Al Ain, targeting members of the Abu Dhabi Chamber with hands-on AI training as industries accelerate adoption of artificial intelligence. The program's practical format lets founders build AI-powered ventures without coding, shortening the path from idea to market.
Launching AI businesses without code
The program helps founders understand emerging AI trends, develop prompt engineering skills, and use AI tools within the Lean AI Canvas framework. It runs on the principle that "prompt engineering is the new coding." No prior coding experience is required. Participants will develop startup concepts, assess commercial viability, and launch AI-powered products. They will also build a functional prototype and a go-to-market toolkit, accelerating product development.
Preparing for a digital economy
The second edition reflects KFED's strategy to prepare entrepreneurs for an AI-driven economy by equipping them with future-ready skills. The program also highlights collaboration between national institutions to advance AI adoption, encourage new ideas, and strengthen the UAE's entrepreneurial ecosystem. It aligns with the country's goal to build a knowledge-based economy powered by advanced technologies and maintain its position as a global hub for innovation and entrepreneurship.
Why this matters for product development
For product development professionals, the program signals a shift in how AI-enabled products are built: prompt engineering becomes a core skill that can replace traditional coding for prototyping. The ability to create a working prototype and go-to-market plan in a single intensive program lowers the barrier to testing new AI product ideas. Founders and product teams can validate concepts faster, reducing the technical debt that often slows early-stage development.
