Lenovo hits record $83.1 billion revenue as AI sales nearly double

Lenovo reported its strongest annual earnings on Friday, with full-year revenue reaching $83.1 billion and AI-related sales climbing 105% year-on-year. The results sent the company's Hong Kong-traded stock up as much as 19.32% in a single session.

AI revenue now accounts for 33% of total group revenue for the fiscal year ended March 31. The company defines AI-related sales as neural processing unit-equipped PCs and smartphones, GPU-powered servers, and customer-facing AI services.

Adjusted net income grew 42% to $2 billion for the full year. Fourth-quarter revenue alone jumped 27% year-on-year to $21.6 billion - growth the company hadn't seen in five years.

The numbers by division

The Infrastructure Solutions Group, which sells servers and data center equipment, posted record revenue of $19.2 billion, up 32% year-on-year. The division turned its first full-year profit with $73 million in operating income.

AI server sales remain the growth engine. Lenovo's pipeline for AI servers stands at $21 billion, with more than 5,800 customer deployments already in place.

The Intelligent Devices Group, which sells PCs and smartphones, generated $58.9 billion in revenue, up 17% year-on-year. Lenovo maintained its position as the world's largest PC maker with 24.4% global market share in the fourth quarter.

The Solutions and Services Group crossed $10 billion in annual revenue for the first time, growing 19% year-on-year.

What sales teams should know

CEO Yuanqing Yang said the company aims to reach $100 billion in annual revenue within two years. In a Bloomberg interview, Yang attributed the target to Lenovo's position in AI inference and what he called "AI democratization."

For sales professionals, these results signal where enterprise spending is headed. AI infrastructure and AI-equipped devices are now core revenue drivers for a major technology vendor. Understanding how to position these solutions to customers-and how to identify which prospects need them-is becoming critical to hitting quota.
