AI agent for headteachers

Grant and Funding Fit Agent

A short list of grants that truly fit, each with a checklist and deadline.

Grant and Funding Fit Agent: what goes in, what the agent does and what you get

What it does

Staff spend days reading grant calls that turn out not to fit. This agent starts from the school's needs and budget, then scans open grant calls. For each call it scores fit against eligibility, such as grade levels, region and match requirements, and drops weak matches with a short reason. For the best matches it checks deadlines and required attachments, then builds a checklist. After you choose, it re-checks the call text so nothing was missed. Edge case: a grant needs a 20% local match the school cannot afford, so the agent drops it and says why. You choose which applications to pursue.

How it works

Follow the arrows from top to bottom. The orange dashed arrow is the loop: when a check fails, the agent goes back and tries again.

How it decides

It drops a grant when any hard eligibility rule fails and ranks the rest by fit, award size and effort to apply.

  • Drop a grant if any hard eligibility rule fails.
  • Drop grants with deadlines under 10 days unless approved.
  • Rank by fit to needs first, then award size.
  • A required match above budget disqualifies the grant.

Make it yours

Every agent is a starting point. You choose these settings for your own situation.

  • Needs and budget limits
  • Grant sources
  • Minimum award size
  • Deadline buffer (default 10 days)
  • Scan frequency

What keeps you in control

It always asks you first

  • Selection of grants to pursue
  • Any contact with funders

Hard limits

  • Do not submit any application.
  • Do not contact funders.

It stops when

  • Done: a shortlist with checklists was approved
  • Stop: no grant fits, so the agent reports the nearest options and what would make them fit

An example run

What happensRivergate Elementary needs $25,000 for reading materials. The agent scans 22 calls and drops 15 on eligibility. A literacy grant looks good but needs a 20% match, $5,000, which the school lacks. The check fails and the agent drops it. Three grants remain with checklists, and the principal picks two.
